Desert Oasis by Welk Resorts

Course had just reopened and the greens were not in the greatest shape. However we did enjoy ourselves. The staff were very friendly.

I was unpleasantly surprised that there was no driving range or restaurant… I wish I wouldn’t know prior to booking and/ or they would of stated that… our group got there an hour early to hit balls and have breakfast and none of that took place … round was still fun but it could of been better …. Also no golf cart on the course going around with food or drinks

First day course was opened for the year. Greensand fairways are in poor shape but should improve when grass grows more. It is going to take some time but may check it again in 3-4 weeks to see what it looks like.

#1 and # 10 hole terrible. Lots of sand. Fairway roughs little grass mostly weeds and sand. Course needs lots of work. Would not play again

The tropical storm took its toll on a few holes. I found the greens to be a little slow and inconsistent and in need of care. Layout was typical of a course built around housing.

Don’t let the bad reviews fool. Yes a few holes have some damage but beyond #1 and #10 is a decent track. The greens were great. Ran very true. Bunkers could use more sand, a few boxes need some help. (Water). Speaking of water…lol…bring a few extra balls. The amt of water was impressive.. Have an open mind. If you’re looking for pristine go hangout w the snot noses of Waldorf. Overall, it was a great day of golf. Will be back.

Unbelievable how this place is still open ..fairways were dirt ,t boxes patches of green and mostly sand ..stay away

Greens don’t look great, but they roll very true. Course is tired looking, but it’s an interesting layout, good views and a good test. Fairways are patchy, but if you accept that going in and move your ball onto grass it’s perfectly fine. Carts are in good working order. It’s perfectly acceptable course.

Interesting Course with some scenic holes. Only issue is with hole 1 and 9 that appear to have been damaged by high water.

You can tell that this was once a great course. The lay out is great, it’s having a tough time right now. Play the course with an open mind, the greens are in great shape but just imagine your playing a Links course in the desert and you will be fine. Enjoyed my round.
