Hole #12 I believe. Photo submitted by Trailerteri on 04/03/2013
Nice resort course
Considering time of year course is in good condition. It only has two par 3s, would prefer to have four par'3s.
Golf at Indian Wells
First time playing this course since 2002. Course was in excellent shape. Paired up with a real nice guy, we later joined a 2some on the 10th. hole. It was a great round of golf. Golf course overall is Great. I will love to play here again.
Quality course.
Beautiful, playable, but challenging. A lot of water, not a lot of desert.
Beautiful course in great shape
Even in September this course was in great shape. The landscaping is incredible and you don't feel like you are in the middle of Palm Desert. It is an oasis setting.
The course is open, fair with just enough hazards to make it challenging. This was our favorite course of the ones we played on this trip.
I'll Be Back
I thoroughly enjoy this course. If offers many types of challenges. It is a course that makes you use all of the shots in your bad. Was in great shape and is always on the top of my list for courses in PS area. Looking forward to more rounds here.
Great course and worth the proce
Course was in tip top shape greens rolled true and very well maintained. Staff from check in to cart girl were helpful and courteous. Ranger came out with cold towels and the cart girl weithout asking filled up cups with ice on three seperate occasions. You just don't see this. Recommend this course highly. Pace of play was a little slow as there were some inexperienced golfers right in front. Ranger had them speed up but it was still a 4 1/2 hour round
Great course.
Great course, the best greens that I played the whole week while I was there, very nice course.
Great Course Excellent Condition
Everything was in tip top shape...Best played so far in the Palm Springs area. Very nice experience.
Incredible course
Not too much to say about it besides was in pristine condition, great staff, nice practice facility and stunning clubhouse / restaurant. I would highly recommend playing there if you're in that area.
Hole in one
We loved playing this beautiful, challenging celebrity course and even had the rare opportunity to witness a hole in one on #16.
would not recommend
After playing the Classic Club and being so blown away by their hospitality and course conditions I expected more of the same at a course with such high ratings. I was paired up with 3 other singles and one of them was a local guy that albeit a nice person was extremely slow and had zero golf etticate. We all let it slide because he was an older gentleman with some health issues but his slow play and lack of manners wore on the group as the round went by. I was totally shocked when I was teeing off on the 10th hole to have one of the mowers drive up from behind and continue to go right by us with no regard to our teeing off. I expected a lot more for $69.00. I was told that this was a low rate for this course which blew my mind because I thought it to be about a $50 course at best. The course has some beautiful holes with a lot of flowers which made it appealing but the slow play and lack of respect towards the golfers from the grounds crew ruined my experience. Capped off by the older guy nearly driving on to the greens and talking during swings all while playing in 111 degree heat made for a very long round of golf that I could not wait to be over. I would not recommend this course when there are so many others to choose from that are better priced and nicer courses.
WONDERFUL COURSE, SLOW PLAY
I haven't played this course in over ten years, since the major remodel. The course has gorgeous mountain views. It was in immaculate condition, with sleek fairways and smooth, dependable, moderately fast greens. The driving range points east, which makes it almost impossible to watch the flight of your ball in the morning.
My primary beef here was pace of play. We teed off at 7:50 AM and were promised a fast round, with light play. It ended up taking 4.5 hours, and it was really hot (over 100 degrees) when we got off the course. The marshals appeared ineffectual in improving the pace of play. This might be acceptable pace of play during the season, but during the hot weather it is torture.
Super conditioned golf course
One of the best kept golf courses I have ever played. Great fairways , greens, traps, and tees. I absolutely love the golf course and the condition it is in. It was 104 degrees and the on course staff were very cordial and friendly.
Celebrity
What a beautiful course. Accolades go to the ground staff for not only a superb golf course, but also stunning flower beds and garden architecture. The fairways and roughs are so generous that the golfer who manages to miss both and get into the scrub deserves what he gets. The greens are true and in top condition. Throughout the course are ice and water stations, which was important because the day was so hot. I drank about 10 litres of water. The GPS screen on the cart was especially helpful for a first-time visitor like myself.
Cal from Melbourne
Superb course
A brilliant course in every respect. The lushness of the course was impressive, with large trees and heavy shrubbery everywhere. The fairways are generous and in perfect condition. The greens need a little work and seem to have some invasive grasses, but are true and in good condition...nine points out of ten.
Excellent practice facilities and a fun series of practice greens. Great practice chipping area.
Great Golf Course
This course was amazing. Played the Celebrity in the morning then Mission Hills Gary Player in the afternoon. The two should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. Celebrity is head and shoulders better. Perhaps the best scenery you'll get in the Valley. If you're visiting Palm Springs this needs to be a must play on your list!
CELEBRITY
EXCELLENT COURSE CONDITIONS AND FACILITIES
FLOWERS EVERYWHERE
NOT THAT LONG BUT PRETTY NARROW
HIT THE BALL STRAIGHT OR YOU WILL BE IN TROUBLE
TARGET GOLF ON SOMES HOLES
GOOD MIX OF SHORT AND LONG PAR 4''S
PAR 72 BUT ONLY 2 PAR 3'S AND 2 PAR 5'S
Two great choices on a vacation
Played both the Celebrity and Players Course on vacation with another couple for a month-Played 15 times and played here three times-Twice on Celebrity-Celebrity is the most beautiful and more playable in mixed foursomes-Played here also in 2015 and enjoyed both courses so we put them on the list this year.
Pace of play was great and monitored so you can complete your round in time to get a dicount on your first drink at the 19th hole
Players course more of a challenge with a lot of character and various holes requiring targeting off the tee-you will be challenged
great condition-good range-proshop expensive but lots of designer duds-good staff
Beautiful Course
Awesome experience playing here! Course is first class - and very challenging. My favorite place to play in the desert!
One of the best in the area
We played the course several times, always great conditions, the layout is superb, beautiful holes.
Sounds like you just had an unpleasant round, Life happens. Not sure why you wouldn't recommend.
