Better Option than the expensive courses
Pace of place was a little less than 4 hours on a wednesday 2:20Pm tee time. Could have been faster but the foursome played slow and there is no marshall. Greens were fantastic, not too slow and not racy fast. Rough is mow down making the fairways wider. I would play this course again and not the expensive courses like Spanish Bay or Pebble because their pace of play is too slow. If you want to see ocean just go walk Asilomar Trail in Pacific Grove. It is right on the water and beautify.
insanely slow play
I'm a semi-regular at this course, so I want to preface my review by saying that this particular experience was not indicative of how it usually is there.
I played on a Friday afternoon. It happened that in front of us was a recreational tournament, many of whose players may have been first-time golfers. It was clear that they had no interest in playing expediently. It took a full hour to play the first 3 holes.
I will say that the marshal did try to help - he even had one group skip a hole - but evidently the problem was just too big to manage.
Del Monte is a Pebble Beach Property course, and a round of golf there should be held to the same high standards as the other courses. This round was not pleasant. Safe to say I won't be booking late-day tee times at Del Monte in the near future.
Great Course
Love this course. Staff is always friendly, and the course is beautiful. It's peaceful and a great place to play.
Great day at Del Monte
Super friendly staff. They ordered up the perfect weather, pace of play was right in 4 hours.
Great day with my bride of 32 years.

Great Course
Owned by the Pebble beach management group Del Monte is a great, fun, old course to play. Long and challenging BUT forgiving if you go off fairway, just a fun day to be had
Classic Challenge
What can look to be simple is not. Good condition and layout seems straight forward but must play this course with confidence. Small greens and protected fairways will keep you honest to make par. If you are not a good player getting out of trouble or able to recover with creative shots, it could be a long day.
Approach shots are key to a good score.
Enjoyed the 1st time playing at Del Monte
I got a GolfNow deal and tried the 1st time playing at Del Monte. The course is very well maintained, except few sand bunkers lack of sands at bottom. The greens are very small, so you need to shot accurately. Overall, enjoyed the walking on the course under the good weather.
Old Del Monte Golf
Old school course with small greens, very playable for all….in very good condition…some sand traps can use more sand and were hard-packed…great walking course or for pull cats..very much enjoyed it…
Del Monte
Premium on accuracy. Tight fairways with demanding rough. Perfect greens and tee boxes. Offer Taylor Made rental clubs. If you need game improvement, be sure to specify. Great staff and weather.
Great course at a great price
We’ve played many courses in the Monterey area and decided to give Del Monte a try. The course was in great shape, staff was helpful and restrooms were clean. The course is fairly short but still very fun to play. Pace of play a little slower than I like, but it was a beautiful day!
Beautiful and fun course!
Loved all 18 holes here! No driving range. Beautiful scenery and well-kept course. A bit backed up on a few holes but I'm sure this varies from day today depending on the players. Great value on golfpass.
