Del Monte
The course was good, staff members were nice and friendly. Went had had a snack, drinks were good the fries were delicious.
A wonderful test of golf
Just a great challenge. Good walking course,
Not far from green to next tee. So much history here. Must play.
An okay golf experience but won’t return
I have wanted to play the old Del monte golf course for the last 50 years. I’m sorry but I under weld. Very few memorable holes. Very flat course/layout. Many holes looked the same. Small greens and rough narrowing fairways. Difficult to find balls in fairway roughs. Spent way too much time looking for balls. Fairways should be cut a little wider. Hit a great drive only to lose your ball over and over again. A.bad round for me is normally 86. I shot a 96 at Del Monte. Greens did not ring true or for anyone in my foursome. Sorry but won’t be returning to this course.
Great course for long hitters
Great course and layout. Difficult to stay in play.
Need to carry 150 - 170 yards to reach fairways. We are seniors and had to pick our well hit (for us) balls out of the rough and place them in the fairway. We called it “the Del Monte rule” so that we could keep up our pace of play and not have to record a score of 140! Only complaint was the lack of senior tees.
Great course
Del Monte is a well kept secret on the Monterey Pennisula. Wonderful course and absolutely great staff. Don is the best.
Sucks
Canceled due to inclimate weather and now they are trying to charge me
5 hour round cart path only for no reason!
When we arrived at the course we were informed cart path only😡. There was no mention when booking Excuse was the just sprayed the fairways? Why woulfd a golf cart affect more than people walking on course?!
We had to sit and wait to put our clubs on a cart till 10 minutes before our time even though there was5-6 carts sitting there. When playing a course for the first time cart path only makes round not enjoyable especially at 5 hours. Course was in good shape, there is some crazy slope to greens were if you are above the hole no chance!
Best course under $100 in the tricounty
Excellent conditions and a friendly staff made our experience memorable.
