Great course, right amount of challenge, great staff.

If you have not played this course, it is a must.If you are a san diego county golfer.

The staff, the starter, the course, all are amazing!

Very challenging layout, but fair, beautiful restaurant and amenities..

We played this course at the end of June for my fiances birthday so it was naturally, very hot. Despite the weather the staff and course itself was so cool! Complimentary round ON the day of your birthday will guarantee we come back at least a few times a year to celebrate at Rams Hill. Complimentary shave ice at the turn and after 14- but there’s literally people driving around handing out free frozen grapes, free iced water (with electrolytes) and electrolyte packets. If you play during the summer bring a towel that you can drench in iced water from the cooler, doing this I didn’t even feel overheated once. Everyone was so friendly and one of the guys even mentioned you could replay for free during the afternoon. It would have been great to have lunch and replay 18 once or twice because the water feature and hole layout is so beautiful. Incredible course, incredible staff. Thank you Rams Hill!

This was my first time playing this course. Very impressed with everything. Staff was very friendly. The amenities were great. Towels provided. Waters provided ((vey nice tin bottled course logoed)) they provided hydration packs and more waters on the course. They have ice and water machines through out the course. The day we played the snack bar that’s in the middle of the course had free shaved ice. And the course itself is great. Hard enough that the risk vs reward is worth it. Not so hard that it makes you not want come back. The greens are a little hard to get the ball to stop so plan on landing it a little shorter than normal but just a great experience

You must absolutely play this course! It rivals all of the best public courses in the Palm Springs and San Diego areas. Takes a little bit of work to make the extra drive, but it is so worth it. If you have not played Rams Hill, you are missing out. Make the most of your trip with very affordable stay and play packages. Bring the family for an Anza-Borrega state park slot canyon experience.

But mostly, come for the golf! I put it in my top 10 in all of California public courses, and I've played them all.

If you are making golf plans for the desert, I highly recommend the extra drive for a great day at Rams Hill. Exceptional layout, amazing conditions, spectacular greens and views, and the most hospitable, friendly, enthusiastic staff I have ever met.

Or even better, take advantage of one of their very reasonably priced stay and play packages and get two rounds in with some friends.

Rams Hill is an amazing escape absolutely worth experiencing!!

They keep saying wait till next year and it never gets better. Same old same old. Fairways with many bare/brown areas and greens are much less than stellar. Look at the pics and you tell me if it's good enough for $200,00 retail price. My local municipal in Costa Mesa is in WAY BETTER shape. Rams Hill is worth $100 MAX on weekdays. Add $25.00 for weekends and those are premium prices. Sorry Rams, sometimes the truth hurts.

This Tom Fazio design is a blast to play. Great Vistas from everywhere.Greens are challenging as are the fairways. The new turf is a big improvement. Our foursome had a wonderful day!

Wife and I played the course while on vacation in San Diego. Warm welcome at the guard shack when we first entered the property. But the guy at the bag drop offered little in the way of greeting or help. Starter was great with some very helpful tips. Two out of three folks giving good vibes. So far so good.

Really enjoyable course, even when the wind kicked up. Greens and fairways in very nice condition. Fast but fair greens in prep for PGA qualifier the following day.. Challenging layout but very scenic and fun.

The trip from San Diego included some nerve-racking mountain passes.. But those same mountains were part of the on-course scenary. There are holes that reminded me of the opening to High Plains Drifter or maybe Pale Rider. Only thing missing is a ghost town all painted red.

Well worth the effort to get there..

The greens are fast and true

Challenging, beautiful and an experience every golfer new or veteran should experience, its an amazing mix of beauty and fun.

If you have a chance to play for free on your birthday i would recommend taking it, they treat you amazing and will definitely make you feel welcome to come back again and again.

The fairways are cut very tight and sloped which makes the ball roll out sometimes more than you would like.

The greens are fairly fast and undulation with grain, very challenging.
