Lake Shastina Golf Resort

This is a pretty straight forward course and it was in excellent condition. The guys in the pro shop are great. I played as a single and there was no one ahead of me. When I teed off, there was a light drizzle and the temperature was in the low 50s; I love that type of golf experience, but not all the time. There were a lot of deer on the course. While it was kind of a gray day, the scenery was nice. The greens were a little slow, but they were in excellent shape. I would recommend this course to anyone.

Beautiful setting with Mt. Shasta in the background. Greens were still a little sandy. The pace of play was great. The carts were well taken care of. The course was challenging. The restaurant was pleasant and the food was good.

Beautiful course, tee boxes where in great condition and the carts where well maintained. The clubhouse had amazing food and everyone who worked there was super friendly. The only slightly negative was the pace of play. My husband and I where behind the slowest golfers we've ever seen play before. It took us shy of 6 HOURS to finish the round. While it was our date day, we weren't in a huge rush. But the constant stopping and waiting made it really hard to get into the flow of the game. The Marshall (Rich, so sweet!) came over multiple times to apologize and let us know he had encouraged them to pick up the pace. At the end of the round one of the gentlemen in the foursome even caught us in the clubhouse abd offered to buy us drinks and apologize for the slow play. It was a very nice gesture! All in all it was a first rate experience and we can't wait to go back very soon.

Awesome layout with picturesque views on almost every hole. Conditions were great. Had a fantastic lunch. Staff was awesome and pace of play was kept well with good separation between tee times. Even played the 9 hole course. Bit of a goat track but very fun and presents its own unique challenges. We will definitely be back!

We had a great day met by the staff upon arrival very thing was lined up and ready . Course was in very good shape the punched green are recovery in very good condition . Pace of play was great all day ..

Course was in good shape. Back nine was closed so we only played the front. Drove over an hour to play so the voucher for the other 9 means two separate trips to play the 18.

I don’t normally phone the course before I make the reservations, but I’m going to start doing that in the future when I book through GN.

In the area visiting. Nice track with great views of 14,000 foot Mt Shasta very close by and overlooking several holes and a few nice ponds to navigate. Generous fairways and firm manicured greens. A A few deer but amazing were no hoof prints on the greens.

Nice bar/grill with good elevated patio view of the course.

I will definitely play it again.

Men’s club day. A group of 5 and another group of 6 backing up several groups and not offering to let people thru. Frustrating day.

Lake Shastina Golf course never disappoints. We wanted to play a last day before the new year and got a great rate.

The course is in beautiful shape, the views are fantastic. It’s just enjoyable to be outside there. The greens were a little bit fast because it was cold, the tee boxes were sometimes tough because the ground was frozen in some areas. Personally the ball sailed and I had one of my best scores playing there!

The pro shop is always welcoming and had a great sale on merchandise and gift cards.

The restaurant menu offers something for every appetite. My personal favorite is their pizza which you can also order to take and bake.

Good value for money. Only course open and playable in winter months in the area. Greens can freeze solid but course gets a lot of sun so it remains playable when temps are well in to the 40's, especially if you walk. It's wide open and can get windy so check weather before you head out. The restaurant has a good selection of sandwiches and pizza that are surprisingly good.

The course is in great shape. They do need a beverage cart though.
