Lakehouse Hotel and Resort

First, the course was in great shape! Grass was pristine, greens rolled true, tee boxes were sorta okay. San Diego weather made it an absolutely beautiful day of golf.

Unfortunately, the snack shop opens late so you can’t load up on drinks if you have an early tee time. Bring refreshments if you’re going to be thirsty. Not a single cart in sight serving drinks. No water stations throughout the course. Very little shade, if it gets a bit warm.

Otherwise, an amazing course and worth a play every month or so.

Also, the range is just okay. The balls are old and definitely need replacing. Mats are okay, but rubber tees are hit or miss. Mostly miss.

I had been playing regularly on a smaller course thinking it would be easier. I recently moved into the area and tried the Links at the Lakehouse course in San Marcos not knowing much about it. All I can say is by the time I got to the 18th hole I felt like I’d been missing out on a true golf challenge I due to the length. I was improving as I went along because I was getting to swing for longer distances on most of the holes. I think if you don’t play like that on a regular basis you might never get a feel for a bigger course. I’m very excited to go back and play again!

That’s my first time golfing here. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice this course is. I will be back without a doubt.

The course overall is in nice condition, the Fairways and Greens are in good shape. The only negative is the Tee boxes which were very thin and uneven, also always amused when the Tee box markers are placed on a slope.

The course was in better condition than I was expecting. Staff was very friendly. I thought it was priced right for the style of course. The greens were in good shape and fair.

The course itself is in good condition and is fun to play. The pace of play, was horrible! Took just under five hours to complete 18 holes at a par three course. There is no partial in the staff did not do anything to move groups along. Make sure your schedule is clear if you play in the afternoon. They should do a better job of moving groups along and keeping a better pace of play. Other than that, the course is fine.

The course was really well cared for. Fairways are nice and wide for all levels of players. Greens were in great shape. Overall a flat course. Walkable. Great view on 14
