About Lakehouse Hotel and Resort

The idyllic shoreline of Lake San Marcos is the draw for the Lakehouse Hotel and Resort outside San Diego. The property is home to a championship and executive golf course, multiple restaurants, a marina with electric and non-motor boat rentals, two saltwater pools and oversized hot tubs. The 1960s-era hotel holds onto its retro charms with hula hoop contests, board games, roasting S'mores and a lobby library. The semiprivate St. Mark Golf Club (6,400 yards) and par-58 executive course will please every level of player.

Good course, good value for money

Got to play the course for a $37 hot deal. Great value for money. Some of the fairways weren’t in the best condition, and some bunkers felt like concrete but overall the course was well kept. I think if I’d paid $70+ for this course I’d have a different tune

Great Vibes Course

The Vibes at this course is what saves it. The Friendly staff, the music playing at the clubhouse, the restaurant and its awesome staff, is just amazing. Such a fun backyard, middle of a neighborhood, golf course. Not so sure its worth 100$ but is what it is. We had a blast playing.

Only issue is bunkers

One of my all time favorite courses. Played weekly until I moved out of state. The only issues with this course is the bunkers are hard packed dirt. I take free drops out of them. They made upgrades to the carts and pro shop since my last play. Always friendly staff. Paly Everytime I visit.

Course in great condition except no sand in any trap

The course is in great condition, but there was no sand in any sand trap. Dirt only. Extremely difficult to play out of.

Fairways and greens in the best shape we have ever seen on this course.

Forgot why I don’t play here anymore. Pace of play is horrendous. It was a Saturday but 6 hours is egregious.

Longest round ever

Staff is friendly, course layout was fun but our round was 5 hours and 15 mins! No Marshall and 8 minutes between tee times caused major back up on every hole.

Love this golf course, basically the best place to work on your short game. Course is well maintained and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this course to all skill levels.
