Lake houses golf, San marcos
I was charged 100 a round instead of 90 that shows on golf now.
Can the course do this
Great Course
Some fairways a little moist soft greens that ran nice front nine was 1 hour and 15 minutes back nine slowed down 2 hours and 15 minutes the only real complaint would be that the cart would tell us we were in restricted areas when we were on cart path and would not run
Close to prior excellence
Significantly improved green conditions close to the past prime records. As for the fairway, the staff must have done tremendous jobs to get back the grass in shape but some patch areas are still seen with soggy spots.
Kudos to the GC!
Course is in need ot capital/funding
The cart path is in need of major repair, the condition of the fairway and greens is poor, however, the course layout is very good
Good but very bad value for the money.
Course is OK, it should be a 50-70 round, not a 100, greens were little bumpy but probably because they were on the edge of needing aerification, it has very good challenging holes that are very long and some very scenic holes but the fairway, greens, bunkers are average, nothing too special, some holes are very flat and boring so that is why I am giving it a low value for the money, probably because I played on Friday, maybe would play again with a good deal but not full price as I did.
Always love this course but…
When this course backs up the pace is not good. You may need to wait 5-10 mins before you tee off.
I was solo, so I skipped holes 7 and 8. And that’s no fun because every hole on this course is fun to play.
I joined a couple after 9 and played the rest. After 12 the pace picked up back to a reasonable speed.
Other than that, for the money, this course is great. I love how even though it’s an executive course, you get a few holes to drive it far and go for eagle!
slow
great atmosphere and people working the course were so nice but the course played sooo slow
Fun
One of the better executive courses in SoCal. Walkable. Not hard. Challenging and fair. Bunkers need a spruce up.
First time.
We had three 4-somes and by the time the last group arrived at the 19th hole for a brew, the rest of the men were about ready to leave. We ordered our beers and waited 10 mins for them to get delivered....A great day of golf, but the bar service was poor....we even had to call our server over to our table to ASK for our bill!!
Fun Day / Fun Course
The course is in very nice shape, a fun course for improving your short game. Play is quick and the weather is usually perfect in San Marcos.
Challenging
Course tough with some holes. Pace was slower than usual. Every slot filled with 4. Enjoyable time.
