Not worth the price
Played here for my birthday on a Sunday 8:30 am. Round took almost 5 hours, which is shockingly slow for $360. Greens were lightning fast which was nice, rolling at a 13. So many bunkers. The signature hole by the water was nice, but the other 16 holes inland were meh. Staff was great, very friendly. Fun to play overall, glad I played, but can’t justify the price to ever play here again.
I need to go back home
I'm trying not to completely trash this place with this review. It's going to be challenging. Screw it. Here is the short version. WAY WAY WAY too expensive for what the course conditions were. After paying a thousand dollars for two golfers for eighteen holes I expected much more. I certainly don't recommend going next week after they aerate and sand the place. Then you'll really feel like you're taking it in the shorts. I recommend going to a municipal course near there for forty dollars. This place is robbery. I'm going home to my messy inexpensive tee boxes.
It didn't appear that the guy working the golf carts really gave a $h¡ť whether we were there or not. I suggest replacing him with someone nicer and younger who could lift my bags onto the cart. Did I tell you I paid a thousand dollars for two people for eighteen holes? Shame on you and your poor service. The burritos on the turn were awesome but they should've been complimentary after what I paid for green fees. Did I tell you that I paid a thousand dollars for two people for eighteen holes? The Boulders in Scottsdale is less than half this price and five times the golf course and service. Give them a call and ask them how they do it. You need to learn.

Beautiful Views, Nice Course
It would be a five star all around if they had a proper practice facility. Can’t beat the location and views; course is a resort style that doesn’t beat you up and provides an enjoyable round for all playing abilities. Staff is very attentive; parking is limited and valet a must so sometimes gets backed up. Best is it plan to enjoy a drink after a round and soak up the first class facilities because you’re paying for them! I would recommend to friends but the lack of practice area for this price point is a fail.
Pocket of Paradise
Perfect temperatures, course is in 7.5/10 condition (some areas of maintenance), very attentive staff, challenging course lay out, greens are very nice and well designed; huge miss that they don’t have a golf practice area, hard to believe for this price point you have to hit into nets!
5 Hours on a empty day
My wife and I played as a twosome on a Monday afternoon
The rate of play for the first nine was awesome then on the back nine it took three hours. Several holes were cart path only but the group in front of us which included a course employee didn’t observe the cart path only rules which was extremely frustrating.
They didn’t have a beverage cart the entire day either.
For the $254 each this course was not worth it

Nice course
Played with family members from out of state and they were a little disappointed that only 1 hole is truly on the coastline. The course was in good shape and the staff was fantastic. Pace of play was very slow, Marshall came around a few times pushing the groups ahead of us, but didn’t seem to help. Overall good day, but probably won’t return.

So disappointed
The round took 5.5 hours and there were no marshals moving folks along.
Bothe the greens and fairways had recent.y been aerated yet I was never told this when I booked or saw it on their website.
The day before play I got an email saying there were very small punch holes on the greens. They weren’t small.
The rate is $345 plus. I didn’t pay that much but if you pay moore than 150 then it’s a huge ripoff….

Challenging coarse in good shape and beautiful. Staff was very friendly. Lockers didn’t have directions. Practice area was in disarray. Balls needed to be in the boxes.

Great course, great views
Monarch Beach is a very nice resort course. It’s connected to the Waldorf Astoria so the amenities are nice all around. Pace of play can be tough sometimes, but for $225-$250, this is an expensive course that is worth splurging for every once in a while (Pelican Hill up the road typically costs $350+).

Fun Course
I’m a 18 handicap and this course was fun, challenging, and well maintained. Pace of play was great we went out at 7:40 and finished in 3:45 👍 super friendly staff with great food at the turn. Maybe a tad overpriced but speed of play and the quality grounds made up for the higher price.

Very Nice Resort Course
I played this course while on vacation and played with 3 locals. The course was in good shape overall with the greens and bunkers in excellent shape. Most fairways were open and forgiving. The staff was great and super friendly. One disappointment was no driving range and only warmup cages. The course was very pricey but that was expected for such a high priced resort. I enjoyed the company I played with and the course was fun.

Overall solid course
The course condition and staffs were great. Highly recommend. One downside was the pace of playing as there was accumulated delay.
