Nice Course
For a winter day before a big rain storm, the course was in great shape. Playing as a single the GPS was very helpful. A good test from the back tees, but I played the whites since it was my first time on the course. Try to find a deal on Golf Now if you can, $180 for 18 is a little pricey.
Somewhat Shoddy Conditions for High End Resort Course
Tee'd off at 8am as a single and finished my round in 3 hours 10 minutes playing 2 balls. The GPS system in the cart is a good feature and speeds up play. The course has somewhat shoddy conditions for a high end resort course. The fairways were sparse and wet, with fenced off areas and one bunker close to the green on the 12th hole being drained down the cart path at around 10am. The restaurant closest to the golf shop (Jimmy's Pub) wasn't even open for a bite to eat or a take out before my round. And there never was a sign of a food cart the whole round. This is a par 70 course and somewhat short. They need to figure out how to make it a par 72 course thus longer and more challenging.
Really nice
We played it for $80 golf now special - rack is $180
I would play here any time - as often as I could. Price wise?? I don't pay $180 to play anywhere - well accept for a couple rounds at pebble for $$$$$. Anyway if you have a chance to play it at a good rate - run don't walk.
Front nice placement golf - a bit shorter. Fair and fun holes- no bad holes.
Back longer - traditional fairways - requires longer straighter driving. Par threes are 200 plus and play longer. Tiny greens that are in excellent shape if not terribly fast - but we played not long after two days of rain.
Thanks ojai
Ojai is such a great spot. Beautiful setting. Great service. Great people Vacation for a day.
OJAI DAWN TO DUSK
We play here 4-5 times a year. Tee off at Sunrise, finish at Sundown. 45 Holes yesterday. We have played 54 when the days are longer. Everyone is over the top friendly and accommodating !
Jim the starter is awesome!
Gray course too slow
Excellent course but had to wait up to 45 minutes to play each hole starting at 1150. I ended up cutting off the back 9 because there was a pile up of 20 players at the mid point. Overall good though.
Ojai inn and Spa
Beautiful area, nice course, well maintained, starter pleasant and helpful, good pace of play.
Good Layout
Played as twosome in 3 hours. New water system keeps greens and fairways green! Course was in great shape.
Great conditions
This course is in great shape for being in a drought. Plenty of grass in the fairways and rough and the greens were perfect. Played in under 4 hours on a Sunday. I will definetly be back.
On of the Best golf course in area
One of my favorite place to play, unfortually, only can afford to play when discounted rates on. GolfNow. Greens tools fast and smooth, some areas of fairway are a little thin but we are in a water drought. Only issue is food and beverage is expensive, leafed this the hard way., chicken strips and drink $18.00 bucks,
Very scenic
Been wanting to play at Ojai for an age and eventually played it yesterday. Was not disappointed. Not a long course about just right. The first nine slightly more challenging than the back nine but I was having a good day and played to just under my handicap on the front nine, very enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
Ojai Valley Inn and Spa
A great golf course! We played on Monday and there was no one ahead or behind us the whole way.
The only blemish was the finishing hole #9 for us. It was reduced from a Par 5 to 4 because of work crew on the fairway before the green. We enjoyed our lunch at Jimmy's Pub. We will definitely come back in the future.
excellent
I really found the staff to be helpful.. The starter was very personable . The course was in good condition and the pace play was good
Fun Classic Course
This is a classic layout with a lot of variation from hole to hole. Some elevation changes add to the fun. The course was a little dry in places due to the drought but still very playable and the green were excellent. It is a great course and definitely worth playing
My only complaint was that they sent me out as a single - starting on hole 13 - on a busy day so I spent a lot of time waiting.
fairways were patchy
The fairways were patchy with a fungus or decease, you also could tell that sporadic watering of the fairways was a problem. However the greens were in very good shape. For a resort course the fairways were embarrassing .
love this couse
Played the inn a lot several years back during remodel, it's always a treat to return.
Short but challenging.
Overall the corse was very good. They were working on a couple holes which led to some difficulties but overall a good experience. Would recommend course to others.
Shane
Is a relaxing but challenging corse the staff is very accommodating. The greens were excellent
Fun
Excellent course.
Beverage cart was slow and cart person should be upgraded.
loved this course!
This was our first time playing Ojai valley CC. We loved it. Every hole is different with some canyons to cross, blind holes, hills, etc. The course was in excellent condition.
