Pacific Palms Resort
About Pacific Palms Resort
Pacific Palms Resort is billed as "LA's hilltop hideaway", the only full-service luxury golf and conference resort in Los Angeles County. The setting of the 292-room hotel and two golf courses by William F. Bell and Casey O'Callaghan is set against the San Gabriel Valley Mountains. Live music and jazz sets the mood at the Red Restaurant and Bar. The Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower and Zaharias courses have been upgraded over the years with new turf and infrastructure, but their historical layouts remain unchanged.Facts

NABE san
Challenggng course Great public club See youevery one from George!
First time
While the overall layout of the course is fantastic and course conditions are excellent, there were a couple of things that were very confusing, number one on this particular course, the signs for halls 13 and 17 are very confusing being next to each other the way the signs are looking makes you think that the sign for one hole is on the actual hole for the other sign, for instance it looks like the sign for hole number 13 is actually for a whole number 17. My cart got a flat tire, and a new cart had to be dropped off. There was literally no tread on the tire. And there was no easy way to get to the clubhouse for a drink or food because like regular courses that have the clubhouse between the 9th and 10th holes, you have to wait until the 18th is finished before you see the clubhouse again. There are a few holes where you pull up to the tee box and have to u-turn to proceed with the hole. For the $- there are better laid out courses closer to me.
Always Good
Good shape. Greens slick, bunkers some good some low on sand and hard pan just 1 to 2" below. Other than that its a great deal
Course Degraded
Sad to see this course degrade it’s quality. What a waste!
$8.50 for a can of beer?!?!? That’s a joke!
Wow what happened to Ike?!
What in the world happened to one of the premier golf courses in LA? Played Ike, which used to be one of my favorite local courses, and was shocked re: course conditions. It was BAD, like Michael Jackson BAD.
I haven't played here in 2 yrs (since pandemic) and looked forward to coming back. I convinced family and friends we should play on MLK Holiday as a treat. So 10 of us played and boy did I get an earful from folks asking me how and why I would esteem such a place. I felt bad about hyping Ike and making everyone pay Holiday rate to experience such a poor conditioned course... no grass on most fairways, hard pan dirt!
The next day I called and spoke to the head pro (or Director of Golf) to share my feedback. He acknowledged everything I said and spoke of budget and staffing issues. He apologized but that was about it.
Sadly I can no longer recommend this course to anyone and I won't be back... possibly ever.
Course is in really good shape
4.5hr round. Teed off at 7:20 and got paired with two others. The course is true risk/reward. If you “go for it” and don’t make it, you will be punished. I recommend knowing where to be on the greens as they are fast and there are some undulating greens that make for tough putts. Overall, it’s one of my favorite courses in SoCal.
Slow play jerks in pro shop
The guys have seen me before plenty of times, due to COVID I did not want to ride with the people in my group but was forced to either pay $30 or ride with someone, this is not ok. I do play enough here that I went to check in with the cart guy and he had no idea what the pro shop was talking about but because he was new he gave my cart to someone not even in my group so Essentially we were told we could not get a cart unless we pay again. They tried to double charge me for a cart…… seriously….. ohhh and it took 5hrs to play this has gotten ridiculous and has to stop if you are taking more than 10min per hole pick up your ball and move on to the next hole.
Best Course in the Area!!
