Warning-Ridiculous Service-You will be forced to ride with someone you do not know if you play as a single when your group is full!!!
Warning !!! This was third time played here, But this was the first time happening!!!
You will be forced to ride with someone you do not know even if it is not a "HOT DEAL" or "PREPAID" if you are playing as a single !!! and there is no option to ride alone even if you pay more for cart on weekend when it is a full group.
I know we may need to ride with someone we do not know when we purchase "HOT-DEAL" or "PREPAID" from Golfnow, but they still offer to ride alone with a little more money.
But paying full price, $99 at this place to be forced to ride with some one you do not even know ?
It is not pleasing. I've never heard of this from any other courses.
This is ridiculous especially when you are non-smoker and the other one is and the course fee is higher than other courses.
And the pace of play is very slow. It took 5.5 hours to clear 18 holes.
I am never going back to this place again !!!
Better Days
Arriving at the resort, there was no bag drop or signage directing to the pro shop.
The staff seemed uninterested and were less than helpful with directions around the property
The course was in good off-season shape. Carts and GPS need replacement.
Great Bones and Friendly Staff
This is one of my favourite public access courses in the Los Angeles area. It is a wonderful old-style design with some glorious scenery, particularly from the fourth tee.
I was supposed to play on a Sunday afternoon, after my flight from Canada arrived. The flight was delayed four hours and I could not make it. The staff was very helpful and allowed me to move the tee time to the following morning. I got out early in the morning and played and enjoyable 3.5 hour round.
I recommend this course to any of my friends looking for golf in LA.
IKE COURSE
The course was wet after a whole week of rain, but the fairways are drained out very good. Love the course...
The course is in average condition. The cart path was horrible. Not worth the money.
Great course at a great value
A challenging course that is well managed and cared for. There is a little bit of everything to challenge golfers of moderate to skilled play levels. Newer golfers may find this course to be more difficult due to its tight fairways and steep elevations throughout, yet it is a rewarding experience to face the challenges this course presents. Welcoming and friendly staff make this course a pleasant and fun experience that encourages return trips.
My tee time was 12:00, but I can't finish the round play because there was no marshall to keep pace at all. It was really bad
6 HOUR ROUND, NO MARSHALLS. DEAD FAIRWAYS
You would hope to never encounter a 6 hour round and those tend to stick out in your mind. This is midweek. I can't imagine a weekend. 3 hour front 9 and we never got close to finishing. Many people left. No marshaling. The fairways were essentially dirt and typical of their winter conditions there. I see it every year and the price point is sort of commensurate. You get what you pay for. The facilities have gone downhill since Covid. Lockers no longer allow showers or the sauna/hot tub. Everything is bare bones and the facilities are dated. Ownership seems to allow just getting by. It's too bad. It used to be a better run facility.
Perfect location, great course, awesome price
The title says it all.
Everytime I play the Ike course, it gives a huge thrill.
Strongly recommended.
Best golf
Not crowded... greens roll nice... finished in 4 hours.... great value for the money
Sub-par conditions
- $99 is fine including the cart, but not for those conditions. The fairways were torn up, muddy, patchy, and diseased. The tee boxes were often sloped or in average condition. Bunkers are a joke, completely flooded or otherwise no top sand. The only decent part was the greens, although speed varied and pin positions were tricky and often on a severe slope.
- Food and drinks are expensive here, especially the bev cart.
- Slow pace of play (5hr round at 9am)
- Amenity wise there’s a couple putting greens and chipping areas which are nice, but the range is just dirt.
- Many other courses in the area that are better maintained for the price.
Saturday morning fun
Staff was friendly and professional. Amenities were great and food was awesome. Course is in great shape
