The Golf Carts Are In Charge
I've played winter golf here many times over the last few years. Up until now the only irritation was the policy of letting 5 somes play, especially during wet conditions with a 90 degree rule in effect. No problem with that this time. But this was my first time on the course since the start of the pandemic in 2020. The golf carts have all been programed to try and counter the poor golf etiquette of all the newbie golfers who have descended on courses everywhere. Other courses use lots of signage, here the GPS rules. You are constantly bombarded with useless information and are nanny controlled to the nth degree. Absolutely annoying beyond belief. There's gotta be a better solution. It's bad enough to make me reconsider playing here again.

Played the course yesterday. Beautiful, warm day. Fast greens. Overall fun round. If you are in town and want a hidden gem, then play Pala Mesa.

Nice course
Would play again, not knowing the course, greens were challenging because most slanted back to front or front to back also left to ri;ght or right to left very few level puts made for a difficult day of getting approach right and then avoid 3 putt

Course conditions were inconsistent
Tee to green conditions were only fair; whereas the greens were in good condition and very fast. Pace of play was slow.

Fun course, slooooow AF
Conditions are pretty good for this time of year. Great layout. Greens were pretty good. Some bunkers need sand, others were good to go. Back 9 was pretty slow. But I will be back.

Fine course
Frost delay so we started on #5 with a shotgun start. Got to #1 and 4 groups backed up so we left early. Staff only charged me $70 when I agreed to $83 on Golf Now so that was nice.
Fun course. Nice layout and decent condition. Staff is nice.

Good weekend pace of play
Tee times are every :15 which spreads the course out nicely. Had a slow foursome ahead of us for 9h, but passed them at the turn and had quick play for back half. Course in nice condition and surrounding landscape in Fallbrook always nice. Would play again.
