The Par-3 third hole. Don't hit it left or right. Photo submitted by harmser on 03/23/2015
Very scenic but challenging course.
Very scenic and maintained golf course.
Its very tough for the higher handicap player so pack some extra balls because there are many hazards.
I have played this course a hand full of times over the past few years and course conditions are always good; but its expensive. Thanks to golf now I got a great deal so I will go back again. thanks golf now.
thaecourse is in exelent condition
first time playing in aviara golf course w/ my two good friends the course is challenging but has great tee boxes , fairways, and greens i am looking forward to go back and play again.
Good but a little Pricy
The course is well maintained. There is almost no ball marks on the greens. However, it is a little over priced.
The DisneyLand of Golf Courses !
SO Beautiful ! at least half of the holes could be signature holes elsewhere.
Pace of play..they are careful to space groups out so you don't bunch up. Thank you for that !
I want to give them 5 stars on everything but when you charge $150 to $200 its hard to say Value for the money , but compared to Maderas which charges almost as much, Aviara wins Hands Down !
Also would give 5 stars for facilities if better chipping practice area.
One of the Best in SD
Stop want you are doing and book a tee time! One of the best gems in SoCal! Greens roll at about 12 on the stimp, best service you can ask for! Make sure you stock up on the free tootsie rolls pops they hand out during the round too!
Awesome course
Had a great time here. Played earlier in December too. The greens are the most difficult part of this course. Hard to get into too much trouble from the white tees, but the greens are extremely fast. I had seven 3 putts! Definitely a must play.
Love this course!
This is one of my favorite course's in San Diego and well worth the money. The customer service is excellent and the course condition are excellent. Play here you will not be disappointed.
Landscape and waterscape features absolutely fantastic
The golf course was so beautiful it made you forget about all your bad shots. Greens were in great shape. A must play for all visitors.
Staff very friendly. Nice touch with cookies at end of round.
course was very wet due to sprinkling after overseeding. course challenging but enjoyable. A little over priced porbably because of the Kia Classic held there.
Beautiful course and friendly staff
Great layout and very scenic course. We try to play this whenever we are in San Diego as it is a great experience. The staff is as good as you will find anywhere. Very welcoming and always helpful. The latest round was a little slow as it was nearly 5 hours but is was a full course and a start after 12:00, and unfortunately 5 hour rounds are becoming more common.
Aviara, Augusta National of the West Coast
Traveling into San Diego from out of town. Looked for courses in the area on GolfNow and wanted to give this highly rated course a shot. Words don't do the course justice. We we greeted in the parking lot and our bags were brought to the first tee area while we checked in. The staff.... best I've ever experienced. The course had complimentary cookies at the first tee before the round (nice touch). The starter should be paid very well... he's not only knowledgeable, comical, but also just a down right nice person. We were told we were about to take a tour through a botanical garden and play 18 holes along the way and that's exactly what this course has to offer. Conditions were immaculate and the scenery, breathtaking. On about the 7th hole we were greeted by the Marshall who delivered suckers to the group (once again, nice touch). Saw the cart girl numerous times - hydration wasn't an issue as we stocked up on some of the locally brewed college sodas. The course has 18 signature holes and after our round we had to make a pit stop back into the pro shop to purchase an Aviara polo to remember the great experience. Can't wait to visit San Diego again.
it is way overpriced but a excellent course.
really nice staff. They provided great apples to start off your round, and brought you tootsie rolls around the 15th hole. A++. But for 245$ its just not worth it.,
like course
great course great condition, lots of fun.liked the fairways ,greens too fast.
great golf course. lot's of fun. difficult greens but fair,
great golf course.lots of fun.difficult greens but fair.
Classy & Pricey
My wife and I really enjoyed this course. It is very bathroom friendly for the ladies. Bottled water and cookies were provided at the starter. Towels are in the cart and range balls provided. The cart has state of the art GPS. The only frustrating part of our game is when we get to the greens...they are big but brutally fast and hard to read. This course is one of the most beautiful we've ever played...can't wait to play again!
Beautiful course
Such a beautiful golf course with a lots of flowers
Ready to loose some balls though
Twilight rate is a winner
I'm sure during the winter this course is pristine, however the tee boxes were burnt out when I played 9/15/13. In fact several areas were really dry. I don't mind a dry fast golf course if the greens are holding....and they were perfect! Gorgeous setting with lots of floral elements, water falls, tranquil mountain views. The few homes around the course weren't even noticable, unlike some courses that build right on top of the course. I wouldn't pay $245 for this course, but it was worth $125 at twilight. The starter put me out ahead of some groups and I breezed through the course in less than 2.5 hours....met a nice couple on 16 and we played the front nine again before it got dark. I'm a 6.2 handicap and shot 75 from the white tees...so its not that tough...fun course.
EXCELLENT GOLF EXPERIENCE!!!
What a great course to use the free rewards hot round! would never have a chance to play this course and had a great time on an excellent course. very well maintained and pace of play was awesome. greens rolled true but were a little slow. just a great day of golf at a great course!!!!
Photo sensational course
First I have to say that I had a free round to play this course from my Golf Now rewards. Paying the full price of $245 is crazy for any course. The course was just a beautiful sight. Since it's also a botancial garden, every turn has gorgeous sights. The water featues are also very well designed.
From the moment I got there the staff was very attentitive. Water in the cart cooler already and the starter gave a short overview of the course and the hight tech GPS on the cart.
I'm sure because the cost to play, not may folks were there which made for a very easy pace. Each hole had it's own signature and was truely a fun course to play.
Beautifully landscaped
Treat yourself to playing this course at least once in your live, but if you can afford it then twice a week.
