Golfer Reviews
Punched greens but beautiful!
This course was very high priced. It is a gorgeous track though. Beautiful views meticulously kept, except the greens were punched. Obviously, every course has to aerate so it was understandable. I would have preferred to know the conditions prior to arrival, however. The greens were very slow and bumpy, which made it challenging to make a decent score. The staff were all outstanding. Very friendly and accommodating. Prices for everything here are very high. For example, 2 well cocktails were $45. I would definitely recommend this course if you are looking to treat yourself. It would be a tough one to keep in the regular rotation if you are like me and not independently wealthy. This is a birthday kinda round for us normal people. Beautiful, fun course though!
Very slow
The round took 5 hours. Fairway were not well manicured with tall grass. Marshals were not helping move play, just driving around.
fairways are very poor
The course itself is beautiful. The fairways are a major disappointment as they are verticutting them. Nobody mentioned a thing when we checked in. We asked for a discount after the round and they declined. Ed the assistant pro had the gaul to say that “he played yesterday and the course conditions did not effect his game”. Probably never going back.
Great experience
Course was beautiful as expected staff was very friendly liked everything about it a little pricey, but we’re from Ponte Vedra Beach and it can be kind of pricey there too, but very nice overall great
Good track but a bit over priced
Course has potential to be amazing. Amenities are great and so is the range. But conditions were average at best. Fairways and tee boxes were not super well kept. Greens were solid though but very difficult to read. Very beautiful par 3s
The most beautiful course ever!
I misread the tee time so we only had 15 minutes when we arrived but the staff were super nice and didn’t make us feel rushed. The flowers and landscaping, water features are amazing. Kudos to the landscaping crew. Snack bar and beverage cart were friendly and efficient. I would play again tomorrow! Ed in the pro shop went above and beyond!
Great staff , lovely corse
Friendly in the pro shop and starter.
Interesting holes, and course well looked after .
Greens were in good condition ,and fast on the day we played .
Bar and restaurant excellent. We had lunch and dinner ,
both excellent
Exceptional Course
Absolutely love playing this course. Always perfect conditions. Friendly staff.
Great resort course
Best golf in Carlsbad. Wish I played twice instead of La Costa South.
One of the best courses I’ve ever played
Got the opportunity to play here yesterday. Will caveat my review by saying I don’t often splurge for $300+ (including club rental) courses, I tend to play most of my golf at a lower price point. Having said that the course is stunning, and in great condition. Greens were a nice balance of challenging but not insanely punitive. Myself and the rest of my group were blown away. Staff were also awesome across the board, from the pro shop to the snack cart. Couldn’t recommend it more.
