Starter was super nice. All staff are outstanding. Fairways a bit think as they look like they were punched a couple of weeks ago. Sits in a valley so wind is always swirling.

Played in 3:20 as 2 some.

The course layout was great, challenging and but fair but the course condition was absolutely terrible not worth for $238. The greens were good but the fairways and roughs were so bad, it was laughable that they call that place a semi private/resort course. The pace of play was good in the front, then twosome jumped in at the turn and waited every shot in the back and there were 5 groups on the last 2 holes. I called the pro shop at the turn but they didn't do anything. Even though someone from the pro shop came out and apologized when I finished the round, that's 2 hours and 30 minutes late and basically apologized for doing nothing.

The course is OK in terms of routing and challanges. It's short but well placed bunkers and fairly tight fairways keep you from bombing away. There are way too many holes on the front nine in horrible condition - muddy, thatched, heavily sanded. I'm suprised they didn't shut a few holes down.

We picked up a scorecard and my wife noticed it didn't have handicaps or ratings for women. It turns out they have a separate scorecard for women. OK... And they have been out of them for weeks! What?! They gave her a copy of a copy of a copy of a scorecard that only had par and handicap - no distances. She's a good golfer and usually picks between the shorter two tees but that wasn't an option. She decided to play the forward tees but it was hard to tell where they were because we couldn't compare GPS distance to scorecard distance.

It's just lazy and frankly kind of rude to women. I mean, give me 10 minutes on an AI platform and I can have a woman's scorecard ready to print on a half sheet of paper that looks and works great.

Comparing to other courses around Carmel/Monterey, this course is not as I expected. The fairway and bunker conditions are not good to the price you paid but green is perfect. Otherwise, it’s a good course.

Great track, everything is manicured very well and the greens roll very true. This is a must play if you haven’t before

This course was beautiful! It played very well. The pace of play was great. The staff was super friendly and we got a great deal! If you ever have a chance to play this course, make sure and take advantage of it!

We had an amazing experience at Quail. The course is gorgeous. The pace of play was great!

Would recommend over and over again!

Range was max 220ish. Course is in great condition, have played at courses similar for slightly less price point, but the starter got me and my son out 10 minutes ahead of the other couple they paired us with and we were able to play full 18 in under 3.5 hours.

I was struck by a falling tree limb on the 10th tee and unable to continue play. The staff was moderately concerned but did not offer a comp round.

I have not heard from the head professional at all..

Very enjoyable round and would definitely play again. Wind wasn't really a factor, some interesting layouts and features along the way. Would've loved if there were a snack/bar cart, but we still had a great time.

It was a raining day. Amazing that the course was still very playable. The greens were still "dry" and fast. Rain stopped after a few holes. The fairways were dried quickly. After 18 holes, no mud on shoes. It tells how good the course condition is.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They even remembered me from my faux pa.. booking at the wrong resort last week lol. The course was in great condition. Greens firm and true. Only downside was the afternoon wind coming up the Carmel Valley. I would definitely recommend this course it’s my favorite for the cost.

This course is extremely well maintained and provides a nice variety of challenges. Although not too challenging. The fairways run below the majestic mountains surrounding Carmel Valley, alongside the meandering River and between some of California’s nicer homes. The greens, fairways and bunkers are what you hope for at every golf course. The course is about 9+ miles long. Only one hole with a good vertical rise and one hole the same vertical drop, it is very walkable. Other than being careful around the homes the course is good for even intermediate players. I do want to mention there are requests throughout if you go out of bounds into the neighborhoods planting you do not look for your lost ball. The community has very few fencing if at all including the driving range.

The club house has a nice restaurant. I definitely plan to return.
