Slow play

There was a group of five in front of us that were painfully slow. I really don't care about how many people are in a group, just keep up with the group ahead!

Not Worth the Greens Fee

The Desert Springs Palm course is not worth the greens fees, or even half of the greens fees (I paid #199). The greens were slow and very bumpy -- unlike any other course I've played in the Coachella Valley. The service is what you'd expect from a muni. There was no one at the bag drop, the starter told me I was not on the tee sheet (he was wrong), the couple I played with had their cart die mid-round, and it took 20 minutes after they called the clubhouse to get a replacement cart. The course itself is okay, but it's obvious that you're playing within a large rectangle of grass placed in the middle of town; lots of streets on the left side of holes. The fairways were in pretty good shape, but as I mentioned above the greens were in rough shape and so bumpy you had to jam the ball into the hole to prevent it being knocked off line. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Poor greens

Course is good! The greens are not in good condition. The GPS on the carts is not calibrated to the pin placement. Played three other courses in the last week and these were the poorest greens

Greens are awful.

The staff was very friendly other than those in the golf shop. They should remember that we are their customer! They act completely indifferent. They should work for the IRS.

These are the worst greens I’ve played here period!

WORST GREENS EVER!

Layout of course was interesting but course condition appalling. This was only course I didn’t read reviews for since it’s a marriot I figured it would be great, big mistake all the reviews were right on, sad bunkers spotty fairways and probably worst greens I’ve ever played! Went to a &40 muni on way to airport and greens were stunning. Stay away overpriced waste of time

Disappointing

Played both JW Marriott Desert Springs courses, Palms and Valley, over the years. Their green fees have rocketed to the point that they have priced out the average golfer. The really sad thing is that the course we played, Valley, was in the worst shape we've seen in years. Greens were very spotty and very bumpy. Fairways were just, OK. Compared to the many other courses we've played in the Coachella valley, with much more reasonable green fees, I would not recommend playing here to anyone.

Over priced

The Greens are horrendous!! There's no point playing golf if the putting surface is like a stucco, Most greens are 25 % dead and some are up to 50% . Bunkers are inconsistent, rock hard and soft in the same bunker. Play other courses to play actual golf.

Ian Smith

The starter at JW Marriott Desert Springs was hands down the best I’ve ever encountered. Incredibly friendly and attentive, he went out of his way to ensure we had food and drinks before our round, even with a long line. His exceptional service truly elevated our experience, and I just want to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves!

Desert Springs Palm

The Golf course was in excellent condition. Good shots were rewarded with a fair

placement for your next swing. Fairways have some great mogels for challenging efforts to the green. Greens were a stent or two slower than the other courses I've played in the valley. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Overrated

Greens in terror shape, extremely bumpy. Staff not overly friendly. Like we were doing them a favor to play. Simply questions were responded to with attitude. Bunkers need to be flated out. Way to steep especially near greens. Fairways were blotchy. This we not be a top choice for me if I came again.
