Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage

This was my 4th visit, but the first time playing the Palm Coarse. The staff, as always was extremely attentive and friendly, and the Coarse is in top notch condition. Always a good experience here.

It was a first experience. I like the course layout and atmosphere, but the green was slow.

We waited every shot, quit after no. 11.

Had planned to have cocktails and dinner, but after our Pro Shop experience followed by waiting to play each shot, we decided to go elsewhere.

The person checking us in, the person we paid was not informative nor did he wish to be.

“Just go downstairs.” We asked a couple questions, and that’s what we were told. Needless to say, the clothing items that tempted me were no longer of any interest to me.

Just a bad choice for our round I guess. And an expensive mistake.

I would not recommend this course over any one of the many choices around the area. No one looked like they were having fun.

Course has interesting design and if it were in better condition I would have stated higher. Greens were bumpy, sand was inconsistent, play was a bit slow. We went off before 2 with a 2:10

Tee time and just finished at dark. Course is worth the after 2 pm rate, but I would be disappointed if I had paid the over $200 regular rate.

I am a devoted Marriott customer. The cost to play these two resort courses way out of line, given the conditions of the course. We played Valley and was very surprised with the poor greens. Too many better options in the area, given the cost.

Customer service good…

Got a lucky break when we cancelled our Desert Princess tee time due to a sandstorm. Just a few miles away the JW Marriot was calm and clear. Great round on a great course.

Layout great, greens with perfect speed, grass conditions super!
