Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan

Before booking a tee time, I called the day prior to inquire about recent course construction. I was told the construction was done, and the course was back to normal.

The course was still under construction, with some detours in place. All 18 holes were available, but there was maintenance workers on the course throughout the round.

The snack shack following the ninth hole was closed and there was no beverage cart seen on the course throughout the day.

All excellent, love willow glen. Pro shop person, not so nice.

All of Sept. $25 Tee time for Pine Glen with cart. Can’t go wrong with that. $45 during peak season isn’t bad either.

While all of the holes are open, it bears mentioning that they are still doing construction work on this course. Of course, they are still charging full price and won't mention any of this to you before you head out. The course is in decent shape.

Wife and I went off as a twosome.

Eventually the group in front of us waved us up on a par 3.

We played through and got on our way.

5 minutes later, the Marshall rolls up and gives us sh1t for playing slow? We explained that we just played through.

His own cart sheet and cart gps trackers would show what was going on.

His approach was rude.

We play fast and soon had 2 open holes behind us.

Lastly, our cart would stop and tell us to get on the cartpath.

Each time, we were on the cart path (see image).

Ongoing construction, many greens in poor shape. Consider playing the Oak course instead.

Excellent greens, bunkers, staff great, need Marshall to keep pace of play moving. Lots of work going on, it is going to be a great course.

We were scheduled to play the Willow Glen course but the pro shop asked if we would mind playing the Oak Glen course (at the same rate we paid, which was $15 less per round) due to the fact they were working on sprinklers at Willow Glen. We agreed but were a little concerned about what the pace of play would be like since they were redirecting all the golfers to the one course. We were a twosome and the first three holes we had to wait quite a while on the foursome in front of us. They picked it up and we ended up finishing in 3 hrs 40 mins. The course was in great condition, they layout was interesting, and the water holes and water features were pretty. We ended up having lunch after the round and the staff in the bar, as well as the pro shop, were all very friendly. The course ended up being much nicer than we expected and for the price, I would recommend it.

They are doing major construction work to this course. It is almost criminal that they are keeping it open and charging people to play here. Avoid this course until they are done working. It is worth maybe $20 to play under the current conditions NOT the $85 or over they are charging.
