Special place to golf
We discovered this course a month ago and have been playing here weekly ever since. The scenery is really special, being laid out in the canyon valley. Hills all around. But easily walkable. It’s a short course but the holes are challenging. Fairways and greens in good condition. Tee boxes are a bit beat up and don’t seem to be recovering in a speedy manner.
The after golf experience is outstanding. Nice patio, great dining and great service.
Gorgeous gem
We played this beautiful course at least 1-2 times per month. yesterday course conditions was excellent, weather was sunny, we had great time AGAIN! Afterward, we had nice dinner there,
Beautiful short canyon course
Such a wonderful little hidden gem in Laguna canyon. Conditions are almost perfect with some wonderful canyon views. A mix of par 4's and 3's would seem easy, but it's a pretty challenging course, especially if the winds kick up which they often do. Greens are fast, but fair. Fairways are immaculate, and tee boxes are adequate. The service is great with valet parking, a nice patio area with a view of the 1st and 9th holes. Live entertainment frequently provides a nice pre/post round experience. The ONLY downside is this course brings a lot of beginner/novice golfers that aren't familiar with pace of play and gold etiquette, so depending how who you get behind, the course can play extremely slow. I've played this course in a little over an hour, but I've also played it in 2 1/2 hrs! No marshals keeping things moving so a crapshoot as far as pace of play. Love everything else about this course!
Another fun round!
We love this beautiful course, like an oil painting! We play here very often.
It's MAGICAL!!
Everyone in my family chooses their birthday round at Ben Brown. It's perfect. The course is challenging and even if you have a bad shot, the scenery is so pretty, that you just say, "Next Shot" and move on. We love the staff and look forward to having a coffee and breakfast burrito at the end of our round. If you are lucky, there is even live music to enjoy on the patio. It's magical!!
Ben Brown Golf Course
Very nice scenic 9 hole course in canyon, will play again. FYI valet parking only, valet allows ample time to unload car for golf. Good food & drinks!
A beautiful gem hidden in canyon
Picturesque and sweet 9 hole with challenges for all levels. Staff, food and off course amenities are excellent. Pace of play is slow even for a weekday. Expect 2.5 hrs on weekdays and longer on weekends. Why, it’s simple, many long par 3s where you have to wait until the party in front of you is off the green. If you just like to enjoy the beauty of the canyon and enjoy the time it’s for you. If you are going to steam about the pace of play then you’ll have a rough time. Lovely setting and well maintained. Go expecting slow pace and you’ll have a good time.
