Bonaventure Resort & Spa

We golfed at Bonneventure about 5 years ago we had always enjoyed the course and we're excited to golf here again. We were disappointed in the conditions this time. We had the course to ourselves though which was nice no waiting.

Read the previous reviews, so came in with a bit of background on the course, and had popped in to talk to the pro shop guys the day before. The course has gone through some rough times, Which I hope will get straightened out. Now to the course.

The course Fairway conditions were excellent, Rough was a little bit thick, So sometimes hard to find your ball if off the fairway. The greens as mentioned before, were very patchy, But I was expecting that based on the comments. I think they will come in better over the next little while as it cools down and with a bit of care. but with pins in the green spots, they did run pretty true.

Played with a local who knew the course, so helped a bit with direction. Use A golf app, or a rangefinder for distances to the water, as there is a lot of it out there.

Overall, Loved the layout, bring a few balls, and don’t worry about the greens, as most people can’t distinguish between a good green and a bad green anyway.

Well I play it again, definitely. Good luck guys On bringing it back in shape.

Greens were rough. Love the course. Po shop was literally empty

fairways where in excellent shape, some greens where in poor shape. over all course was in good shape considering the summer that we had.

Good golf course kept up nice fair ways are in good shape some of the greens are a little bad

But overall it's still a nice course

This course has a very good layout but has not been maintained. The fairways are good but the greens are very bad with lots of bare spots. The roughs were mostly broad leaf grass and very deep. I played on a weekday in the middle of the morning and there were very few people on the course so pace of play was good. The price was low so even with the issues it was a good value.

Very slow pace layout is beautiful but greens are horrible, range was closed and practice greens terrible

I know after the lockdown courses struggled a bit with maintenance so that is taken into consideration.

The grounds were.good but if they are.foinfnto get back to a top Broward county course the greens have to be addressed. Some of the rough was to high to enjoy so a good once or twice over will help. Had fun though, staff helpful and nice!

Got a hot deal, and way worth it. Love the course layout.

The east course was always the best . The roughs are so not cut that you lose a ball on first cut. I guess its going to close like the west course to build more million $ homes.

Range closed. greens in terrible shape. empty clubhouse. zero food or ice. no coolers allowed yet no cooler/ice/drinks available. no soap in bathroom. safe to say i won’t be coming back here and i’m sure place will close soon.
