Evermore Orlando Resort
About Evermore Orlando Resort
The former Grand Cypress Resort, which featured the luxurious Villas at Grand Cypress, has been a popular part of the Orlando resort and golf scene since the 1980s. It is in the midst of a comprehensive long-term renovation and rebranding to become the Evermore Orlando Resort. Both the Villas of Grand Cypress and the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the LPGA Tour are gone, but the New Course, also by the Golden Bear, remains open, as does the large Hyatt Grand Cypress hotel. Evermore hopes to debut in summer 2023. Read more about the project here.Facts

Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

The courses layout was great.
The man who greeted you in the front was the Best. Loved the course and it was in great shape. We did not get to play the new course because there was a tournament so we played the east course. And they gave us a free round to come back and play. So we are going back to play the new course today. Love everything about this course.
Shared Greens and Fairways
First off, the course was in great shape. They had just aerated, but that cannot be avoided. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
The New Course is setup to imitate St. Andrews. It's a wide open links course with lots of bunkers. And when I say lots, I mean 150+.
That being said, most greens are shared between a hole in the front and a hole in the back. When playing the front, you use the yellow flagsticks and on the back, the white. They're big greens, so it wasn't really an issue, but it's somewhat unnerving and you basically play every green twice, which I didn't care for.
There are several shared fairways also. Albeit most of the course is one giant fairway, it's weird that I could be playing up #11 and you could be teeing off basically directly at me from #8. Again, it wasn't really an issue, but felt very strange.
All in all, it was one of the nicest courses I've played. As long as you're ok with the weird layout, I'd recommend it. One good thing is that it's wide open, so even if you're off your game, you won't have any problem hitting fairways.
New Course
Excellent course and facility.
Solid round
Course overall was in great shape. Greens still recovering from aeration, but did not roll too bad. Love the layout.
Perfect day
From the beautiful tree-lined drive up to the clubhouse where a complimentary valet is waiting to take your clubs, to the impeccable shape that the course was in, and finally the fantastic burger I ate afterwards, this day was perfect. Not a member nor did I stay as a guest but after the experience I had, I would do both, if I lived in Florida or visited more. Staff was friendly and helpful for a first time player. Would play here again if I hadn't managed to miraculouslymiss all 155 bunkers and shoot an 84, I don't want to spoil the memory. Had an 8 am tee time and was paired with a twosome who were good players, and though there were others on the course we were never rushed or had to wait. Pace of play was perfect, finishing just over 3.5 hours and though it was hot the beer cart girl was always close by and the cold towel provided by the ranger as we were coming down the last few holes was a great relief. I can't overstate how beautiful this links course is and how well maintained it was. The greens were slower than they looked but for a poor putter like me that's not necessarily a bad thing. Overall it was one of, if not the best golf experiences I've ever had and I hope it will be for you too. Oh and the burger was delicious. I wanted scallops off the fine dining menu which the chef came out and said he'd make for me if I really wanted it but I was more than happy with the wagyu beef burger!
Great layout when course is maintained.
Paid the $10 booking fee on GOLFNOW.
When we got to 1st green we realized the greens had just been aerated. Was no mention at time of booking.
Maintenance and slow play
There was a 5 ball (5 groups) on an outing that slowed play on the back nine to a crawl. Played front in 1 45 and back in 3. Staff need to a better policing job of the course. After playing, strongly prefer the N, S, E courses. Harder but less traffic.
Great Experience and Good Luck Est. Distance
A must play if in the area. Bring a GPS as the yardage markers are few. Make sure you play with someone who's played the course before or get a book. The hidden dips, valleys, and water especially in front of the greens are challenging. You'll find yourself second guessing most yardage markers or GPS distances. I lost count of the times we said, there's no way it's xxx yards from here or this yardage marker can't be right. I'm going down or up a club or two. End result - short or way off. Even with hitting the right club for the distance the constant disbelief of the distance was very entertaining. Don't forget to take advantage of the great drinks and chef prepared food. Also, fine dining is available. (across from Pro Shop)
Old Course in Florida
great condition, lots of pot bunkers, play early and pace of play was 3:40.
Fantastic Corporate Outing at the New Course
We hosted a very small corporate outing at the New Course at Grand Cypress. An act of god changed many of our plans at the last minute and the staff at Grand Cypress could not have been more understanding and accommodating. They did a phenomenal job getting our group reorganized which made for a fun and memorable day. The course was in a great condition. The layout is fun and challenging. Will play again when in Orlando. I highly recommend them if you are looking to plan your own corporate outing.
Enjoyable Round
One of the unique courses in Orlando. While it doesn't play like a links course because of the Bermuda grass there isn't anything in Orlando like it. Wide open fairways allow for room off the tee with bunkers strategically placed to gobble up those errant drives. Greens are very undulated but were in great shape. Pace of play can be slow but overall enjoyable experience that if you are in the Orlando area should check out.
One of the Top Public Courses in Central Florida
Grand Cypress is one of the top courses in Central Florida. There is a wonderful variety of course options. The staff, course care and amenities available will provide you with a true resort golf experience. I look forward to every opportunity that I get to play here.
Grand Cypress - Thank you for paying attention to detail. It is greatly appreciated!!!

Awesome
This is a beautiful course, I would love to play it again
Excellent all around
this course was incredible. Loved the links style and effort to mimick St. Andrews. Will definitely play again.
Excellent course, best in the area
Every part of the course is in perfect condition, greens are very quick and roll beautifully. The tee boxes are cut nice and short like what they should be.
Definitely a must play course if you get the opportunity
Scottish Links in Orlando!
This was a very fun course giving you a real feel of being on a links style layout with loads of hidden pot bunkers and mounding. I would have liked to see more guidance on the scorecard or golf cart about the layout of the holes, standing on the tee box one doesn't know where to hit your drive or at time even where the fairway is. Course was beautifully maintained and in great condition; only complaint was the grass on greens was a bit long which combined with grain of the greens made for difficult putting. I don't know if it is always like this or just the day we played. Overall it was a great experience and I would play it again during my next visit to Orlando.
Scottish Links Course. Excellent layout and conditions.
This is an excellent course, very fair, links design, moderately easy from white tees.
