Evermore Orlando Resort
About Evermore Orlando Resort
The former Grand Cypress Resort, which featured the luxurious Villas at Grand Cypress, has been a popular part of the Orlando resort and golf scene since the 1980s. It is in the midst of a comprehensive long-term renovation and rebranding to become the Evermore Orlando Resort. Both the Villas of Grand Cypress and the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the LPGA Tour are gone, but the New Course, also by the Golden Bear, remains open, as does the large Hyatt Grand Cypress hotel. Evermore hopes to debut in summer 2023. Read more about the project here.Facts

Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

Always 1st Class
Returned after not visiting for 15 years. Grand Cypress is still a top notch facility in every way. 3rd time playing the New Course. A very fun course to play. Not particularly challenging-so play the back tees. Pretty wide open...but very fun. I love this course for a relaxing, well-maintained, enjoyable day of golf.
Not that they would, but more bunkers and more mounds on the greens would help stiffen the challenge.
Underrated Course for sure
I played this course five times so far in 2 days - it's unreal and highly under rated. The course was in better condition than Sawgrass and that is saying something. Great replay fee's, awesome staff, and every aspect of the course is in phenomenal shape. Played like a links course all the way...can't wait to play it again!
Thank you GolfNow for a Great Afternoon of Golf
I've become a huge GolfNow.com fan and yesterday's round at Grand Cypress was a perfect example of why I love their site. I was fortunate to get an amazing rate at one of my favorite courses in Orlando all thanks to their app.
The New Course is by no means the hardest golf course to play but when the weather is right and you tee it up all the way back, you can enjoy a great afternoon on the links. The strategically placed bunkers make your day that much more fun (or not depending on if you end up in any) and the replica holes are well designed and make you feel like you're at St. Andrews. The course and greens are in excellent shape and it is a prefect time of year to play.
Thank you to Golfnow.com and to the Grand Cypress staff for a great afternoon.
Immaculate
This course is wide open and in immaculate condition. It is a course I would play again. The only part that takes some getting used to is the shared greens
Bring a sand wedge!
Course was in very good condition. Beware there is no shade on this links course. Although there's not a lot of trouble except for a few holes with water on the approach and about 150 bunkers it's a bit long for mid to high hccpers. Especially seasonal golfers.
links couse
Excellent track...plush fairways..fast perfect greens..wide open grip and rip...a must play
Great course conditions but sub-average design
Surprising to see such a course...Good if you start your season and want wide forbidding fairways but design is sub-average. Ok with golfnow reductions.
Worth Playing Again
I took advantage of the OCR rate of $49 and it was well worth the price. The course conditions are fantastic, greens rolled true and there were just enough hazards to make it interesting. Fairways are wide so grip it and rip it. The only minor issue was finding #16 tee box. There needs to be some signage when you leave #15 green to direct you the right way. As you approach #15 green, the 16th tee box is to your right about 100 yards away from the green. A little confusing but we found it.
A Must Play
Terrific shape. Not exactly Scotland but as close as you will see in Fl. Staff, Course and pace of play were excellent. Could have used a ranger to police some of the people who think they can drive right up to a green in their cart. Only drawback was the condition of the range. It was pretty beat up and it appeared they hadn't moved the ropes for a couple of days.
Very different
Quite a good replica of a Scottish links course. Very wide fairways, pesky pot bunkers to catch off-center drives and the fastest greens I have ever encountered in Florida. Overall a very entertaining round.
Immaculate
Played on a hot deal... Exceptional value... Best tee to green track in central Florida. Conditions second to none and very playable. Well placed bunkers fescue and slick greens give this course it's teeth. Will definitely play again... If you can afford it... Play this track!!
Fantastic layout with trouble everywhere
What a fantastic golf course. Jack really went the extra mile creating this course. Like most English links style courses in the US this course is pretty wide open but mistakes are costly. With hundreds of bunkers as well as water this is a true test of golf. Sometimes you have to play really smart and lay up behind some cavernous bunkers to give yourself a shot into the greens. This is a great course to start a buddies trip in Orlando for us northerners who are locked in our houses in the wintertime because it is so wide open and forgiving. Don't get me wrong, this is a true test of golf for anyone but it also isn't marsh and thicket lined to the point where you would not enjoy your fist round out of hibernation.
Great Old School Course
Great layout that evokes the Old Course. Superb services a d conditions.
Fabulaus course
Very Nice course. Very fast green with true roll. Nice design
Authentic links experience
A very unique layout. Really gives an authentic links feel. Right from the first tee, where you see a wide open rolling firm and fast fairway.
Almost every hole has a double green, which while charming, I actually did not enjoy due to having to wait or watch for errant approach shots from other groups while putting.
Scottish links design in Florida
Pace of play was VERY slow. Weather was terrible... 48 with 20-30 mph gusts. Otherwise, this is a good course to play.
Great course!
Enjoyable day starting with the friendly staff. The cool weather and strong winds gave a more authentic feel of playing St. Andrews.
New course
Links type. Great course to play. Played twice. Will come back for more
Walk
Web site says walking on all courses. Club house said sold out can't walk. Then we waited on 75% of the holes. We wouldn't have slowed up any group Perfect weather to walk. Streamsong only allows walking Jan. thru March and for a reason. Please don't stop a great round of golf for the year round golfer to appease the cool weather only golfer.
Goofy and quirky
If you like a more typical American golf course, this course is not for you. The most challenging feature of this course is the greens. Typical of a Jack Nicklaus golf course, the greens are goofy with a lot of breaks, etc. Due to the type of course that it is, i.e. patterned after the Old Course at St. Andrews, you have to accept the goofy greens and odd bounces as part of this course's experience. Difficult to hold the greens. Windy conditions adds to the challenge. Wouldn't want to play this course every day, but good as a change of pace. This is the second time that I played it, and would play it again, just not tomorrow : -)
