Evermore Orlando Resort
About Evermore Orlando Resort
The former Grand Cypress Resort, which featured the luxurious Villas at Grand Cypress, has been a popular part of the Orlando resort and golf scene since the 1980s. It is in the midst of a comprehensive long-term renovation and rebranding to become the Evermore Orlando Resort. Both the Villas of Grand Cypress and the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the LPGA Tour are gone, but the New Course, also by the Golden Bear, remains open, as does the large Hyatt Grand Cypress hotel. Evermore hopes to debut in summer 2023. Read more about the project here.Facts

Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

OLD ST. ANDREWS COURSE
1ST IS THE COURSE IS NTO NEW. 2ND IS THE COURSE HAS LOTS OF BUNKERS WHERE YOU NORMALLY HIT THE BALL. IF YOU ARE NOT VERY GOOD AT GOLF THIS IS GOING TO BE VERY DIFFICULT TO PLAY. ALMOST EVERY HOLE YOU HAVE TO HIT AT LEAST A 90 YARD CHIP SHOT TO THE GREEN. SO IF YOU WANT A REAL CHALLANGE THIS IS THE COURSE TO TAKE ON. WIDE OPEN FAIRWAYS WITH VERY LITTLE WATER BUT LOTS OF BUNKERS.
Disappointed
I was really looking forward to playing this course and had high hopes.
Arrived at course and all seemed well until we went to the driving range and it was full, managed to hit a few balls and then went to tee off. There was a 4 ball in front of us and they hit off. We waited paietently and had to wait again and again on these guys, we were a 2 ball and they kept saying that it was the guys in front that weee holding up. Called the club house and no answer. No rangers out on the course and the pace of play was terrible. Came to the 17th hope and there were 8 guys on the green and another 4 watching, they were all a group so it was all of them that were holding up play during the full round.
I went into the shop to complain but it was closed as it had taken us 5 hours to get round the course.
I had a word with a staff member about our complaint and he told me that there were rangers out on the course, basically called me a liar.
Course was nice but it is really let down by the people looking after it not keeping pace of play up, would have been absolutely furious if I had payed high season rates here.
Always a favorite
I live in Central Florida and when the Yankees head back up north after the winter the Grand Cypress Resort courses are a great place to play. 45 holes of golf, good practice area, the golf academy and great restaurant and bar. Hard to beat.
Was a good round
Well worth the money. Play was at a good clip. Course was in good condition.
Awesome course
great homage to links golf. wide open from the tees but the 2nd shot requires precision. large greens are undulating so you have to hit to a specific spot on the green. perfect conditions.
5 star ....loved it!
Had a blast. ...but....wish we had bought the course layout/ yardage book. A few hidden dangers. Great course!!!
It in my top 3
Stream song
The Hyatt new course north south east
World woods
I mean the new course is so perfect and different if you are not playing it for summer time rates then you are just missing out on a perfect place to play
Greens were very slow. Rest of course was in great shape.
Scotland??
This course was designed to be a replica of the old course in Scotland. I would recommend you get yourself here asap and see what a old course golf links style is all about.
A great experience
We had a great experience at Grand Cypress and its "New" Course. It was fun to get a sense of how the "old" course back in Scotland might play.
Nice and well kept course, but the layout not very interesting
The course is very well maintained, tee boxes, fairways and bunkers in great shape and greens rather very fast, some strongly undulated. But the track itself is not very interesting and beside deep bunkers, which really can be avoided, and just a creek on 4 holes, there is nothing really challenging. The pace was quiet OK. Overall it is nice, but I would always prefer to play North / South / East at the Grand Cypress.
New Course @ Grand Cypress
We played a twilight round @ the New Course at Grand Cypress for our first round of our Orlando vacation. The bag drop and valet were on point as well as the pro shop. The range was good as well as the short game and bunker area. It is a nice place to arrive a bit early to warm up.
The starter was great, apparently they were split teeing earlier in the day and we were scheduled to go off 10 but he checked the course and found it was OK to let us go off 1 which is what we would prefer. The cart "girl" was great we saw her multiple times and she was friendly and did not interrupt us.
The course was in good shape and the round went off without a hitch.
Great Course if you want a different experience
This course is set up as a links course. Tries to mimic Saint Andrews on some holes. Really fun shared greens different than the typical Florida course. Fairways and greens are immaculate. Great course
Links golf at its finest!
If you like the challenge And fun of links golf, you’ve got to try this course!
Don't play the "New Course" without a yardage book. Found way to many pot bunkers with good shots.
