Great value at $75 - $100
Course is great. Lots of tees to choose from including a behemoth 7,700 set. Greens were in great shape and nobody in front of us, so we played in under 3.5 hours. Well worth the trip!
Huge greens & endless bunkers
Must play course if you are in the area. Tom Watson has designed a fantastic golf challenge. Better tune your short game up before playing.
Unbelievable service from time we arrived to tee time.
Loved the ocean views , condition of the greens and fairways perfect, challenging but fair. Will play again.
I have lived in Jacksonville for 12 years and this by far was one of the top courses that I have ever played. GREAT JOB!!!!
The couse was in great shape, it was challenging. All of my guest were very impress with the treatment by staff and how beautiful the scenary was. Some hole locations tough and gave you a lot to think about. I plan to bring several more of my friends back to this course just to impress them. GREAT JOB to all. Keep up the good work.
this course is in a spectacular setting with natural beauty.
The fairways are in excellent condition. The majority of the greens are in excellent condition. A few had a couple of rough spots. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It is a beautiful setting! I would definitely play this course again!
10 STAR
TOP COURSE PERFECT GOLF CONDITIONS
A MUST PLAY GOLF COURSE
Air it out!
Interesting/ challenging course. Greens were in good shape. Large, not lightning fast today but reasonable pace. Plays long in the wind or otherwise without fast fairways.. I imagine the fairways cold be very fast under drier conditions and that would've been handy today. At $65 on golf now it was a good deal.
A must play...spectacular
Lots of eye-candy
Can be as much as you an handle, depending on the tees you pick
This should be on everyone's bucket list
Scenic nice layout
Outstanding layout with combination of ocean holes and inland water holes. Greens large and fairly undulating in decent shape.
Bunkers are fairly numerous excellently maintained. Fairways are a bit thin, likely caused by the proximity to the ocean and effect of salt atmosphere. Overall, the facility is outstanding with full pro shop, complete practice area, and great on site restaurant, the Atlantic Grille. Staff is very friendly and efficient
Course is very well designed. First Tom Watson couse I've played.
Course is very challenging but fair. Course was in great condition especially this time of year. Recommend playing this course at least twice to understand the nuances especially around the greens. GPS system is great in recommending which side of the fairway to hit for the best angles. Up and down around the greens I feel is where the challenge lies. This course is really difficult when the winds are blowing even at 10 mph. If your game is good this will be a stiff test.
Staff was friendly and very professional and I recommend this course and it was a great value for the price and condition of the course. Can't wait to play it again.
Very nice layout
If you can play for under $ 100.00 worth it. Greens in very good shape right now.
Some maintenance issues, friendly staff
Usually you have to rent here to play here, but Golf Now can get you on w/o the stay. It's a good course, but it's clear that maintenance is somewhat behind in that there are many dead/diseased/patchy areas in their grass. The course advertises 6 holes on the ocean, but only 2 of them run along side the ocean and the ocean is not visible from either of those 2. The other 4 either have green or tees running toward/away from the ocean. Nicklaus seems to like left curving doglegs, so there are several. The course has a few picturesque holes, but less than it's sister course, the Conservatory. Rates are usually a bit high, but when you can get on for under $100 it's a good deal.
Great course, especially @ some GolfNow prices
This is a beautiful and challenging course (bogey golfers like me will be around 100).The usual charge is over $100 (which is a fair price for a course of this caliber) but often you can get an even better deal on GolfNow. It's sister course is the Ocean Hammock course, which is also challenging and doesn't seem to have as many discounted rounds (probably more people prefer playing by the ocean and more amenities are open/available @ Ocean Hammock). I think there are more picturesque holes @ the Conservatory than @ OH. Lots of bunkers and some uneven lies in this links style course.
True links, fun to play
Outatanding links style with many bunkers especially on the back nine. Generous fairways but with hidden run off to the many bunkers. Greens very large but with many undulations and opportunities to hide pins in difficult locations. Firm fairways allowed you to make up for a fairly long course. Course conditions are excellent. Very scenic.
This course is so nice I would enjoy playing here regularly!
Generous fairways. Interesting holes. Greens have subtle breaks, multiple levels and are fairly large. Nice practice area.
Beautiful Course with Great Ocean Views
This is probably the most beautiful golf courses I've ever played. It's right beside the ocean and is very well maintained. The greens are firm and the fairways are almost perfect. You just have to see it to believe it.
Excellent Course
Not much to say except excellent course all around. Found a really good deal on GolfNow and had a great time.
One of a kind
Booked with Golfnow in the AM and played at 1pm . Great deal!
Must play course!
Golf Now Special Rate - GREAT Course
Great course that is in perfect condition, fast greens, well kept fairways, tees and traps. Very challenging course that has wonderful views. Very friendly staff that is accomodating.
What a joy!
Tom Watson has created a real gem at The Conservatory. Each hole is uniquely contoured with lots of bunkers and rolling fairways but definitely fair to the golfer. And the fast, undulating greens are truly some of the most challenging I have played in Florida. I would strongly recommend playing course to any golfer, but particularly to long hitters. At 7,770 yards from the tips this baby will give them all the challenge they want!
