Where is the practice range.. driving range. For that kind of money the facility shouldn’t look like it’s a mini golf course.
Not as good as usual
Saltleaf is usually in very good shape, especially the greens
This time the greens weee slow and bumpy
Tees we're playing up which I thought was good to help pace of play but it was still a slow round
Overall a good experience but when you're paying $300 you want better
Fun day
Saltleaf is a lovely track , conditions are excellent : greens were super fast but true
salt leaf review
early tee time with temps in high 40's but sunny, warmed up as day went on. joined one other player and flew through the course.
Outstanding new Saltleaf course, less than 3 years old
This used to be the old Raptor course but that is gone (large condo construction in its place) and there is the new Saltleaf 18. Fairways are like playing on carpet (similar to Trump Doonbeg in Ireland, south of Lahinch). Very little trees, wide-open fairways, lots of water, sand traps and waste areas, but very well laid out. Lightening-fast greens that can be challenging if not used to these types of greens. Great practice & putting areas. You can score low on the course - I’m a bogey golfer and shot 44/42-86!! Ramon, the starter was great to speak with regarding the first four holes to start off your day. A Snack Shack and a few restrooms are located alongside the course as well. I play Tiburon Gold & Black every year and will be adding Saltleaf as the third round annually!! Well done!
Beautiful course
I was fortunate to be able to play to book a single and then a Two some this week on short notice. The course was in. Perfect condition, especially for this time of year in Florida when many courses are brown and barely playable. The greens were lush, carpets and incredibly fast but true. The sand traps were meticulously groomed and filled with fine sand. The layout is interesting with the front line being somewhat more challenging than the back water came into play on many holes with a few longer water carries, but mainly to the right or left of the fairway back to the sides of the greens. many tight holes required careful course management.. I’m looking forward to playing here again. Next time I am in South Florida..
2nd time playing this course
1st time I played it was just refinished. Now that everything is grown in I loved playing here. Greens fast and consistent. This is a PGA level golf course available to play. Worth every penny!
Great course. Pace of play concerning.
Play hear twice last weekend. First time out we were first off the tea and finished three people in three hours 20 minutes and could’ve been faster. Course conditions are wonderful. Greens are extremely fast and due to their design can be very difficult.
Fairways tight and many places
Second round tee off at 8:30, 1 hour into the day
Had to wait on virtually every hole on the back nine and a few of the holes on the front
I don’t understand why no monitoring
Overall, great time and yes, a difficult course but worth it
Nice and enjoyable - just too $$$!
Florida courses can be monatomous, but Saltleaf is not. A fun layout, great conditions, and fantastic greens. There is a lot of variety which includes well designed risk-reward holes (I din't do too well with teh reward part). It's a good balance of think your way through a hole and relax and just hit the ball. My only knock is that it doesn't seem worth the $300+ price tag. Range is a large net, ok to warm up, but not if you want to work on anything specific. That being said, it's probably priced where it needs to be in peake Florida season. Nice people, fun course, well maintained, and fantastic greens will make you want to coe back.
Love the course and greens. Please try to keep feed reasonable.
This course is poorly maintained and pace of play was very slow.
Saltleaf has very fast greens that are rolled to a very hard consistency but well maintained. The tees and fairways are average at best. Staff was friendly and accommodating but should have had a ranger encouraging the groups ahead of us to pick up the pace of play. We did see the ranger in the distance at the beginning of our round but he must have left the course around 2:00 pm. The starter was very helpful and apologized for the slow play. I would not recommend this golf course.
