JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes

Came here on a mid-August dat around 3:30 to get some practice in before teeing off at 4:15. Hit about 10 balls before the sirens sounded for lightening strike in the area. The rains came in and we finally got out around 5:30. There were maybe 4 other groups on the course at this time so we played the whole 18 in under 3 hours. The course was in great shape but very wet. The drainage was not great. The fairways were in very good shape as well as the greens. The greens were not as fast as some people mentioned but it did rain before we played. Layout was fun and more challenging from the back tees. Very generous bail out areas around the greens for the "resort player". Great deal of $34 from Golf Now!!

Very enjoyable course with generous fairways and greens. Only disappointment was maintenance top dressing fairways on the back nine but, these things need to be done to keep a course as nice as this one was.

My buddies and I had to wait out the rain on a Sunday evening, but were rewarded with perfect conditions and had the place to ourselves. The Ritz is always in great shape and this was no different. I'd play here everyday.

Great conditions throughout this course, with hot June FL weather. Greens were consistent, but not real fast.

Could use carts with better GPS, plus screen with view of hole.

Dispite a weather delay after hole #14, that was longer than necessary, enjoyed playing this course.

The course was just about perfect after going through aerification. The staff was awesome and felt like we had the course to ourselves. However we got "last call" from the beverage cart on the second hole. They did have plenty of bottles of water at numerous locations around the course, but on such a hot day it would have been nice to get more ice to put in the cooler. Will definitely be back.

I look at the application on my cellphone, and saw the hot deal for $36, 00. We got to the course and nobody inform me and my friend that the front nine was closed for maintenance.

We surprise after making the payment that we only have the back 9 to play, we did play 18 holes, te back nine twice.

For that reason this review for the course

This is a great course for intermediate golfers. Wide fairways complimented with strategically placed bunkers make it an enjoyable round for all handicaps. Course was on excellent shape for the end of June. Staff was great.

Great course that's always in awesome condition. Staff is so friendly and so nice, they always remembers me. Would reccomend this course to anyone.

Good course good layout just punched greens so would wait a little bit and greens should be in fantastic shape after a few weeks

Pace wasn't great but course was in great shape even after recent rain

I have been looking forwards to finally playing the Ritz Carlton course having watched the PNC Father and Son last year. The course is fantastic and lived up to my expectations. The service from the staff however was less than I expect from the Ritz Carlton. Instead of being treated as a special guest, I felt I wasn't valued. Both in golf registration and with the starter. I was then told off on the 11th hole for playing 90 degree (as I had been told by the starter was the rule of the day), and rather I should stick to cart paths. Of course it was said in a nice way, but....

At $220 plus golf club rental, this was too expensive for the overall experience unfortunately

Course was in good shape and greens were FAST, was told running 11-12 on stimp meter and i believe it. Maybe its just me but course didn't WOW me. Being from New England we have so many more variables that can be added into the layout that it makes it a lot more interesting. Not sure I would go back, just not my kind of course.

This is a must play for anyone visiting Orlando..a great experience

Good conditions for this time of year. Wonderful layout great greens. Very spend your unless you can get a gokf deal. I would golf again

My dad and I played this course on our last day of our short trip and ended up getting paired with a member. I won't go into my opinion of this guy but would've enjoyed the round more without him there. The course was very nice and the greens were rolling 11-12 (as per staff) so was a fun challenge...learned real quick that it doesn't break as much as you think. It's the Ritz so everything was high end and on par with expectations. We ended up getting it "cheap" at $85, which was a good value, but would never pay $175, which seemed to be the most common rate for January. I have no prob paying $150+ to golf, just not here. Fairly tight course, bunkers were beautiful and the greens were in great shape. It's carved out of the swamp so lot of wildlife. So many courses in the area so don't know if I'd play this again unless the $85 was available and had no other options. If you haven't played it, it's worth the $85....$100 max. 19th hole was nice, but nothing on the menu grabbed us so we just had a drink.

Home to the PNC Father-Son Challenge - fantastic Greg Norman design that is playable for all handicaps. Great conditions and site lines. The course is pleasing to the eye and makes you want to come back and play again.
