Lines on the greens after being punched. Difficult to putt with these grabbing the ball as it rolled into them. Photo submitted by bvmagic on 05/30/2016

Nice layout, needs some love
Love the layout …. But …. The bunkers were a mess. A few holes they were well beyond just being washed out; they had weeds in them. The greens were B+ — some damage from sand hill cranes. Some bare spots in the fairways B- . Tees were more bare spots yet (C+).
Played for $65 with a Hot Deal. Well worth the money and then some. Greeted in parking lot with bag pickup and excellent service from everyone we encountered. We played the South Course at roughly 6500 yards. The greens were very good as was the overall course condition.. Good variety of holes with more elevation change than expected. A fun and fair challenge.
Great to play, even in the heat
Great course, challenging. Generous open fairways. Watch out for large bunkers. Greens were fast and a bit tricky to read. We'd play again, soon.
Nice Course, not worth the rate
This was my first time playing at Lake Jovita and may be my last. I love the course layout. Everything is right in front of you and the gps in the carts is spot on. The tees were OK and the greens ran true even though they are 4-7 days from fully recovering from aeration.
However, the fairways were spotty. Compared to other courses that I have played recently in the same area, the conditions at Lake Jovita was sub standard. In addition the other course were about $30 less expensive to play at this time of year. I did not find the course worth the green fees.
On a side note, My playing partner and I arrived at different times and payed separately. I arrived first and was charged full rate. My partner arrived later and was issued a credit of $20 for future play due to aeration recovery. I found the lack of consistency unusual.
It’s dead
I have played the north course a couple of years ago (2021) was very impressive and been looking to play the south course considering how good the north course was . Finally get to do it this July.
And let just say that it was awful so sad to see how they let it goes to death like that ?? Fly in from New York what a waste of money.
The green were dried and crusty with patches of sod around it really!!
Fairway has crab grass. Out of all 18 maybe 2 were in ok shape. Bunker were hard as rock. Don’t know where the good review came from “ stay away “
Good time
Enjoyed LJ South. Fairways were a little bare in spots but overall it is a very challenging track
Nice course great lay-out
Greens were punched earlier and in great shape - some of the fairways were not in the best of shape but always enjoyable playing this course
Fairways in rough shape
Overall the course held up very well. There has been a significant amount of rain and the greens drained impressively well but there were some fairways and areas short of the green that just seemed to need a good amount of TLC. Lake Jovita has a great reputation and I’m certain it will get turned around in no time. I would still play there tomorrow if asked.
Fairways
Loved the layout and greens.Fairways were so-so.I know that they had been aerated about a month ago ,but lots of patches and minimal grass on a lot of the holes.Cant believe they would charge $75 green fees for the course in that condition.Won't pay that price again until fairways improve. Can play Julliet Falls and Candler Hills for less and with better conditions.
Not $80 worth of Course. Better $30 courses out there
Fairways in really poor standard, dirt and burnt out edges. Greens inconsistent but fast enough, don’t practice on the putting green prior as it’s a mess. Really disappointed, and feel duped. Wanted a luxury experience and got a municipal course quality.
AVOID. Save money and go elsewhere
Surprising Awful
Fairways burnt and it really bad shape! $110 robbery! Was looking forward to playing this course for the first time. Super disappointed by the course conditions. The fairways were burnt. Tee boxes were in rough shape. They tried little patch jobs around greens with little squares of sod and did an awful job. It was actually just all-around in awful shape. I would not recommend this to anybody this summer wait until spring time when the course has a lot of time to recover.
Saturday and the snack bar wasn’t even open.
Just a complete miss all around for a layout and environment that has so much potential.
Do better!
Awesome Golf Club
The North course was in spectacular condition! Greens were running 10 to 11. Fairways and tee boxes we’ll manicured. Play was a little slower than usual because the South Course was closed due to aerification. I would recommend the courses at Lake Jovita to everyone! You won’t be disappointed
