Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club - North Course

We had not played Lake Jovita for several months due to the fact that they were no longer on GolfNow offering HOTDEALS.

We saw that they returned to GolfNow recently but were extremely disappointed that the HOTDEALS that were previously offered at 10:50am sometimes 11:00am at a great price were now offered at 1:30pm.

Well we decided to pay full price for our 11:00am tee time.

Once out on the course we were shocked at the lack of maintenance details. The fairways were acceptable but not nearly as nice as in past years. 5 yards off the fairway or near bunkers were practically unplayable. The greens obviously were recently punched but no " punch alerts" was posted prior to booking as has been the case. Paying full price for these conditions is a tough pill to swallow.

We'll keep an eye out for a return to past practices and the reviews to see if conditions improve.

The staff were cordial and accommodating but ownership definitely needs to put more money in to upkeep and routine maintenance.

My son and I went out to play on the North Course yesterday. The conditions were extremely poor in comparison to the past. Greens were in good shape but besides that the course needs a lot of work.

First time playing here early morning and had an excellent time. Neither group ahead nor behind us ever came into play. Course was in excellent condition and the layout was challenging thing yet fun.

The course was in above average condition compared to others in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great selection of tee boxes to accommodate most handicaps.

Loved the layout! Course was in great condition! Not your ordinary flat Florida course lots of elevation changes! Greens are fast and tough!

Played here during a golf vacation. Highley recommend. Great experience all the way around.

This was the first time I had a chance to play this course and it has always been on my list, considering others recommendations. Pricey but well worth a good round. If or when you have the opportunity, ensure to get a round in at this course. Excellent Staff and make sure to chose the North Course.

Our only issue with LJ is unnecessary slow play. We constantly encounter slow groups who lose contact with the group ahead. On this occasion there were 2 open holes ahead with the group in front of us just plodding along oblivious to the situation. I have never seen an on course ranger at LJ to step in and remedy this by simply warning of slow play or moving the offenders along.

Played the North course on Sat 1/17. Way over priced ($150) and tee times are booked too close together. Tee'd off at 1:30 and did not finish. Every hole was a 15 min wait on the tee and fairway. My cart died on hole 4 and i had to walk and carry my bag 2 holes before i replacement cart was brought out. Pro show, replace those old cart. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape, tee box are beat up, they need some love. Golf buddies, skip this track.

Lake Jovita is an awesome place to play a round of golf. The staff were very friendly and I felt welcomed. The only issues I had was the crabby bartender and the crabby snack bar attendant!! We felt like we were bothering them by ordering something . I will definitely go back and recommend friends!!
