If Price is your priority…
This is the course for you. Played golf for over 60 years. Never had to wait in a parking lot to tee off because there weren’t enough carts. 35 mins past tee time. They have a new wooden sign. Maybe invest in more carts? Greens are pock marked and in need of serious work. Fairways are rugged too but yardage markers are good. Tees need work, too. $16 good price for in season FL but you get what you pay for.
Good Value
Fairways are typical Florida. Greens were at one time all excellent. However, a couple are really suffering currently.
Was looking for a value priced option during prime golfing season
Played on a nice sunny January. Course layout is ok, just know it’s a nine hole layout and if you opt to play 18 you just play the same 9 twice. Starter suggested playing from whites first 9 and gold tees second 9.
The first green was kinda a mess, however after that the rest were in decent shape.
You kinda get what you pay for here. If you are looking for a place to knock off some rust this course will alllow you to get some swings in. There are 3 par 5’s which is a bit unique for a 9 hole layout. This is not an executive course, but it’s my understanding it used to be an 18 hole facility but they converted 9 holes into condos many moons ago.
The fairways are sparse with grass and it’s like playing off hard pan for your iron shots. The greens (with exception of first hole) rolled nice. There are 4 tee markers of you play the tips it’s likely 3500 yards for a 9 hole layout (some of this comes from having 3 par 5’s.
They also seem to maximize bookings so if you are “making the turn” you might need to wait as there is a wait on the tee box and by mid day they were running 20 minutes behind.
Wasn’t horrible but for under $50 when other public venues charge $100 to $300 bucks it’s golf in southern Florida and better than just whacking balls at a driving range.
A bit disappointing
They started us 30 minutes late - lots of confusion on the starting order. Not much grass in the fairways. At the turn we went to the shop for drinks and snacks and they told us to take our carts to the nearby gas station - that's a first!! Pricing was OK for the local area, but don't arrive with high expectations.
Value Golf
If just just trying to get a round in and not spend much money, this is the course for you. Greens in terrible condition.
2nd round was slow
There was a party of 6 in front of us so it was very slow the second round. I called the clubhouse and they had told the group to do 3 and 3 but the group still golfed as 6 so the whole course was backed up. I did like playing 9 twice so you could try to improve on each hole the second time.
