Mystic Dunes, a Hilton Vacation Club

Course was in great shape. Fairways were good and greens were good. The greens were rolling fast on the front 9 but seemed to get slower on the back. That would be my only complaint is that the green speeds were not consistent from front to back. The pace of play was decent even though there was a bachelor party in front of us that made the pace of play really slow, but it seemed like the Ranger got on them and they started picking up the pace and it turned out to be a decent day. I’ve played this course many times in the past and conditions have been up and down, but this latest round they seem to have gotten back to keeping the course the way it should be. I will be back because I love the layout and I love the course amenities so it’s good to see it being in good shape again.

Overall I enjoyed the course very much other than the group in front of us playing at a snails pace. Will be back and hope for a quicker group for next time.

Booked on a hot deal. Did bag drop got paired with two others. Wouldn't let us take three carts even though it wasn't busy. No big deal. The course was switched on nines from last year. Tee box's and fairways were rough. They need time overseeding and water. Greens were good and love the elevation changes. Makes you think.

I’m in Orlando since 3 months, that’s the whorse course I plaid. Quality price is terrible…

Greens were firm and well managed. Ted boxes were in good shape. Fairways need some water.

I haven’t played here in over a year but the conditions were good. Fairways were in good shape, the greens were in great shape although the green speeds varied from the front 9 to the back. Green speeds were much faster on the front 9. The off course amenities are always a pleasure…it’s a resort so you’d expect them to be. The pace of play was good and the rate was very reasonable. I’ll be back for sure.

I find recent negative condition reviews hard to understand. I’ve played all over Orlando area and today’s conditions were very good! Fairways are just a bit patchy but this had zero impact on playability. All 18 greens were very good - just keep your ball below the hole! VERY pleased with the experience!

Layout was entertaining the greens were fun but crazy challenging. Do t pay full price but discounts are worthwhile.

I must say the good first. I was playing golf with my buddies and the weather was great!! The course is laid out to 6400 yards from the blue tees and provides a good challenge for our skill level. Our handicap ranges from 10-23. Mine is a 10 and I shot 86. We decided to play here , because we found a 49.00 voucher on Golfergroup.com. I must say I would not pay anymore than that to play this course. The rate on this day was 129.00!! Absolutely not worth it!! Fairways were ok but if you missed the fairway by 1 yard….good luck on getting a good lie. The “waste” bunkers are so full of sand, the starter told us to take a feee drop!! There was at least 8 in of sand in these areas and almost impossible to find your ball if you hit it in there. The greens did roll very well. Some were a little damaged and not as nice as the rest. The greens were rolling about a 10-10.5 and making putts wasn’t out of the question if you got the line right!! Now, the worst part!! PACE OF PLAY!! The starter said we were about a 4 hr pace when we teed off…WRONG!! It took our foursome 5.5 hours to play thanks to the 2 foursomes in front of us. They were on vacation from Canada and drunk as could be!! No Marshall in sight to tell them to speed up or let faster groups play through….this made for a very long day of golf…..Overall, if you can get a voucher to play and you got all day, then I say go play there. If charged regular price and time can be challenging, I would skip this one!!

The front nine consists of lowlands golf similar to South Carolina. The back nine is more similar to links style golf typically found outside of Florida.

There is a good mix of water & sand hazards to make Mystic Dunes a course on your “short list” worth playing!
