Mystic Dunes Golf Club
About
Carved from rolling orange groves and native, protected wetlands, Mystic Dunes Golf Club sits on the edge of the premier travel destination in the world yet offers a feeling of escape from it all. Located just two miles south of Walt Disney World, Mystic Dunes was designed by PGA Tour player and NBC golf analyst Gary Koch.
Tee-to-green, this golf course is stylish blend of classic strategic forms and thoroughly modern methods, but it is its greens that will make this course notable beyond whatever regional reputation it develops. Greens reminiscent of Augusta National, par-4 holes that rival in length to some of the longest seen in major championships, and a diabolical quartet of par 3s that seem to get more intense as the round progresses are just some of the features on this 7,012 yard, par-71 track. Mystic Dunes will leave a lasting impression on you.

Very Playable
I like Mystic Dunes. The course was in excellent condition, though some of the greens had some rough patches. Many of the greens have large undulations, so try to hit your ball to the correct level. The course is very playable, fair, and challenging to all skill levels.
Great Golf Near Disney
Mystic Dunes delivers the kind of golf experience that keeps players coming back. The course manages to balance thoughtful design, excellent conditioning, and an atmosphere that feels relaxed yet polished — all just minutes from Walt Disney World.
Course Layout
The layout is outstanding. Mystic Dunes offers a mix of open, links-style holes and more traditional Florida parkland holes framed by trees and sand. That variety keeps the round engaging from the first tee to the 18th green. The routing rewards smart shot selection rather than brute force, making it playable and enjoyable for a wide range of handicaps while still challenging experienced golfers.
Fairways & Overall Course Conditioning
The fairways are consistently well maintained with lush turf and clear landing areas. Lies tend to be excellent throughout the course, and the rough is managed in a way that keeps the course fair while still penalizing errant shots. Bunkers are clean and well-defined, adding visual drama and strategic depth to many holes.
Greens – The Signature Feature
The greens are the real signature of Mystic Dunes. They are large, fast, and dramatically contoured. Many greens feature bold tiers, sweeping slopes, and subtle ridges that make approach shots and putting both challenging and fun. A well-struck approach can leave you with a makeable birdie opportunity, but miss the correct tier and you’ll quickly learn how demanding these greens can be. They are typically in excellent condition, rolling true and rewarding good putting.
Clubhouse, Pro Shop & Amenities
The clubhouse experience is equally impressive. The pro shop is well stocked with quality apparel, equipment, and branded merchandise, and the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Practice facilities and on-course service round out the amenities nicely, creating a comfortable environment for both casual players and dedicated golfers.
Restaurant & Bar
The on-site restaurant and bar are another highlight. It’s the perfect place to relax after a round, with great food, cold drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere overlooking the course. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after nine or settling in for a full meal after 18, the service and quality consistently impress.
Location
Mystic Dunes’ location is hard to beat. Just minutes from Walt Disney World and conveniently located near many Central Florida resorts, it’s incredibly easy to add a round of golf to any Orlando visit. Despite being so close to the attractions, the course feels peaceful and removed from the bustle.
Bottom Line
Mystic Dunes combines an engaging layout, excellent course conditions, uniquely dramatic greens, and a welcoming clubhouse atmosphere in one of the most convenient locations in Central Florida. Whether you’re a local golfer or visiting the Orlando area, it’s a course that absolutely deserves a spot on your play list.
Mystic dunes 3/1/2026
Course is a great layout, people are friendly. The price tag, though for the condition the course was in doesn’t lineup. The course is playable, but definitely have to use the “roll rule on several of the fairways and a few of the greens. I’ll come back again in the summer once we have more rain and the course is grown back in.
Very good conditions after the cold front
Very fun course where there was a little bit of strategy involved on every single shot. The greens had a lot of undulation which caused some really fun putts as well as interesting iron shots! We came here a few weeks after the cold front and expected more things to be dead, lots of green grass, and the course and greens were in very good condition for this time of year
An amazing course for the money that I really would recommend for anybody to go play.
High handicappers: bring some extra balls.
Overall beautiful course/great price!!!
Great challenging course!!
Very solid course. Challenging for sure, a lot of slope on the fairways. And the greens were extremely tough, big slopes often leading off the greens. But it made it fun!
For this time of year, course was in great shape. Few greens had a couple sandy areas to replenish some dead spots.
Caught a solid deal as well, worth the money for sure.
Great layout
Very nice course. The holes are pretty straight forward. The greens are hard and difficult to putt.
The course is in terrible condition
They greens are awful and the layout is weird. They blame their terrible greens on cold weather when the real reason is they are terrible from over-use.
The layout is weird. Greens, hard as a rock and many of them have crowns so severe they are almost unplayable.
This place is not even close to being worth the money.
Mystic Dunes review
Challenging and beautiful golf course with very challenging greens. Cold weather and dead summer grass and lack of ṛain caused significant yellow/brown coloration over most of the course. Fun course to play but bring a few extra balls with you!
Great layout with challenging greens
The course shows much improvement from when I played last year. Greens are in good condition and fast! Fairway lies are tight and the rough grasses, though dormant, are quite playable. The signature Par 3 11th hole has newly re-sodded tee decks and rejuvenated water features to complement the challenging tee shot over water. Mystic Dunes continues to be my favorite course in the Orlando/Kissimmee area, requiring thoughtful approach shots into tricky greens. Staff are friendly, courteous and always accommodating.
Nice greens nice fairways
I played here 10 years ago. I would recommend going again just played two weeks ago. And improvement were great nice grease nice fairways
Too expensive
Added it as a last minute 1st round to a trip with 3 other pre arranged rounds. Turns out for conditions of the course it was the worst of the 4 courses on the weekend and was $40-50 more than 2 of the courses that were in better shape. It’s fine, not a bad course at all, but value for money tanks it’s overall rating for sure.
great layout very interesting greens I would recommend this very highly.
Needs some tlc
Course has a great layout but need some care. For a 150 dollars was not worth it
