Mystic Dunes, a Hilton Vacation Club

The front nine was in horrible shape. More weeds than grass. The course is in bad shape including the greens. They said renovations would start in June. But i think it will take awhile. It would be a great course if it was in better shape. Really like the layout. Shame it got into bad shape.

Course could be nice, need some edging, tlc care, water everywhere.

Played today May 30th early morning. Course is starting their renovation process. Greens were slick and fast. Cant wait to play it in September when they open back up. I believe I heard they were closing as of May 10th.

Great course,, but fairways were being worked on, but just lost some roll. Greens are the challenge with the slopes. If it would have been dry they would have been impossible.

Played early morning and didn’t need to stop much, afternoon golf was quick and fun

This course is all full of weed bare spot sand traps are all over the place and bad. Greens have dirt balls and crap from trees all over them really to much to list . At least they know it and only charge $45 for a resort course.

Pretty nice course. It’s going to be closing for a rebuild soon. It was very difficult, greens were insanely challenging. The only main complaint I would give is that the fairways were in bad condition. Lots of brown dead spots. Had to move the ball to some grass on several holes. But understandable being that it’s going to have a rebuild.

Wonder what happened to the water. Complete course need some tlc. Watering fairways and greens. Aeration, overseeding, edging traps, raking traps, and cleaning traps from grass. Course could be a fun course but in its present condition its rough, Tees and greens included

The course was tight, undulating, challenging and picturesque. We really enjoyed the layout of the course and the challenging greens. There were very few flat spots on the green and fairways, so every shot required planning and skill to execute. We loved the course!

However, the conditions were dryer than a lizard on Mars!!! Big patches of bare soil on some of the grreens, and patches of crab grass throughout all, not most, fairways.

The club just needs to spend some $ on the conditions and this will be a top notch course in the Orlando area!

I will go again, but hopefully in more of a rainy season so that there are no bare patches throughout!

This course is in BAD shape! Fairways bare in most spots, greens infected with fungus, and tee boxes need some love! This track itself is great, but without immediate improvements, I can’t recommended it!!!!

The course is in terrible condition. We weren't told anything until a marshall drove by on the 15th hole, who informed us that the entire resort is being purchased, and that a large refurbish was in the works, but not until later this year. Until then, they've basically halted all maintenance other than mowing. It's a great layout/design, but current conditions are very poor. Go elsewhere for now until redesign is complete.

Aa once good course, Mystic Dunes is now one of the more run down courses in the area. Greens are unacceptably, weedy and burnt, as are the fairways and tee boxes.

State of repair on the remainder of the course, has been let go. if you go, you won't be happy you did.

Orlando has been going through a drought of sorts (Apr 2023) however the course was very playable. I’m certain with the much needed moisture this area could sorrily use it will return to its former lush self. Decent layout that was fun to play. Great value and if we ever return to the area I would not hesitate to play it again.

Due to inclement weather we could not play the course as tee times were delayed and our travel could not accommodate the delay! The staff on duty were not very helpfull and we forfeited our payment for the entire 18 holes!

The course plays a little hard right now due to greens and fairways needing work. I always like playing here though as it’s easily accessible with pace of play being quite good. The restaurant on site has some great food and drinks as well! Staff very friendly and helpful! Hopefully the greens will get some needed work done soon as I plan on coming back.

The course was nice, staff friendly and the kitchen staff needs help.

Here's a very honest review from someone who normally doesn't complain and has played here lots.

Let's start with the bag boys - awesome customer service , very cordial , and informative. They were twins and get a 5 star great job guys.

Pros shop - customer service was average ,but informative.

Restaurant: my wife went in to get a soda and the ignorance after the way she was treated by the bartender sent her off the deepend. She said he was a condescending rude arrogant fool. The people we were playing with said the same thing about his arrogance as if he was doing us (the paying customer) a favour. With customer service like this from ignorant wait staff is a recipe for people going somewhere else.

Course condition : it is a crying shame to see this golf course in this condition. The superintendent should be shipped out to work at McDonald's because obviously he does not know how to maintain a golf course.i also heard they are closing the course and burning it and keeping the same greens keeper. That boggles my mind that the super still has his job. We will never be back to this course and we live right next door and will tell everyone of the bad experience we encountered here.

We are locals so we have seen the gradual decline of this course over the last four years. Yesterday will be the last time I play this course. A majority of the greens had dead spots or sections. Overall conditions were all related to the grounds keeping of the course. Played with a very nice couple from NY State. Close this course down and fix PLEASE.

Overall I enjoy playing this course it’s challenging for almost every skill level. The only real downside was the sixth green which is in terrible shape. It’s worse than the last time I played the course. The other greens were fine. I will play it again.
