Beautiful
Course was in excellent shape for early March. Greens could be a hair faster but overall great condition.
Great course, extremely well kept and very friendly staff
The Omni marsh course was in great condition with well kept fairways and perfect greens. The staff was very friendly both on the course and at the grill (in the clubhouse).
Great course
Great course. Good fairways and fast greens. Rough was very thin, probably due to the season. Needed a ranger on the back nine, two hours on the front 2.5 hours on the back. A foursome of older golfers slowed down significantly on the back.
Oak Marsh Nice Resort course
Connected to the Omni Amelia Island Plantation, Oak Marsh is user friendly and a decent value for the visiting player. We like the layout and look forward to the last three holes which are challenging. Our only complaints are pace of play and food availability at the turn. Seems like they should have a system for arranging a sandwich at the turn, rather than having to run in, order, wait and then go....slows down everybody . Also no ranger on a Sunday with a full tee sheet, so it got slow. We finally saw a ranger on the 18th (4:30) and he asked if we were having a good day. Nice older guy, but not getting the ranger part straight. Round finished in 4:45, which seems long to us.
Beautiful course
Course was in great condition for February. Greens were slow due to the very damp weather but perfect otherwise. Make sure you play the correct tees for your game. Generous fairways but interesting second shots.
Wow, what a day!
From the bag staff, to Krystal in the Pro Shop, to starter ol' Charles, weather too, it was a magnificent Saturday. I've played around Amelia Island and this is the best of GolfNow. Pete Dye always bring a tough course, which I enjoy. Play the right tees and you will be thrilled with the layout. Course was generous off the tee, narrowed to the green. Then, a good short game was needed. Greens, today, were fast, true, with some grain. The asst pro warned me about shifting grain. But I sunk the 20 footer on 18, so all was good. Couple from VA and Irish fellow from Boston were a treat to play with.
Fun course with a lot of water and bunkers
Greens were in great shape, some tee boxes had a lot of sand, other than that course is amazing. The range was in good shape with updated yardages. friendly staff
Definitely yes
This course is wanna be private. And deserves it. Not crazy difficult but looks like it could be. Play this while you can.
On Course Ranger Needed
Two groups ahead of our twosome, group of three slow played the whole back nine and twosome ahead of us didn’t hit any second shot until the green was open, even on the par 5’s, after hitting a 100 yard drive they wouldn’t hit a second stroke until the green was open. Course needs a ranger to keep things moving and after two warnings should pull slow players off the course.
Small greens that play even smaller
Great staff, awesome layout. Perfect conditions. And a great GolfNow rate. What more could you ask for?
David
Great value with the deal from golf now. The course was picturesque with many holes boarding the marshes or lakes. Greens rolled true but still challenging.
Over really enjoyed.
Omni Golf at Amelia - disconnected
Booked a round at Omni Oak Marsh, which is now the only remaining course at the Amelia Island Plantation, which is very unfortunate. People jammed up on one course now, slow play and conditions not close to the quality they used to be. No ranger in site to help us move play along. Players in front of us hitting from gold tees which was absurd since they were teeing 4 balls off every tee. No ranger in site. Finally we left after 7 holes. As the play was too slow. They should have never closed the other Omni Links course. I don;t plan on playing again although the staff was nice to offer a rein check to come back another time.
Greens and tee boxes in good shape however fairways and course not so much to Omni Standards, Could use some help.
