Improvements noted

Course is in better shape. New tee boxes on several holes. Pace of play was quick without feeling. Rushed. GPS on carts add value and improve course knowledge and help speed play. Greens were just sanded and played slow 9-10. Great course design and Marsh is woven in the course layout. Had a great time and enjoyed the challenge.

Disappointing conditions.

I’ve payed Oak Marsh every year for the past five. In the past, it was in top notch shape. Today I found the greens to be very disappointing..

They were bumpy, shaggy, and inconsistent . This has not been the case in the past. It’s too bad because it is a great layout with some challenging holes.

Great course but somehow can’t afford enough employees?

3 pm tee time on a perfect weather Sunday, first day after end of daylight saving, and the bar/restaurant was completely closed with no cart girl out either. So we aren’t allowed to bring our own beverages but they also aren’t open for service and provided no advance notice. Definitely would’ve played Amelia River if I had known.

Also the golf cart gps/map system told us at least 12 of the holes were golf path only despite the fact there was no recent heavy rain and the course was in great condition. I’ve played here maybe 20 times and that’s never happened. I understand if conditions make that necessary but there were no condition issues on any of the holes.

Ok on GolfNow special !!

Late March, grass has not grown in yet. Fairways inconsistent with some overseed some bermuda and some bare - greens not rolling true ball drifts on different grasses but pretty and Green with colored fertilizer. It is an interesting course and good value on the Hotdeal special but I wouldn’t pay full price right now.

Amazing course and staff

The course is a must. It will be challenging. Make sure you do hole 16 from the gold tees. Dennis, Charlie, Jonathan are all amazingly helpful and friendly. Even when it’s full the pace is decent.
