great views of the resort. Photo submitted by Scott4497478 on 09/21/2012
good challenge, quick greens, pity i busted my ribs on tee 5!!
Fun Resort Golf
I enjoyed the layout. It was well maintained with beautiful views throughout. I saw negative reviews on the 18th hole prior to playing, but I thought it was a great finishing hole. I would definitely play the course again.
Florida golf
Course was very interesting with a lot of water. Staff was very friendly and pace of play was great! Would recommend this course.
Worth Playing But Beware - A Par 70.
I enjoyed the round. The course was in very good shape. My main complaint is that we were talked into playing the wrong tees by the Starter. I normally like to play the tees which are around 6,200 to 6,300 yards. This would have meant playing the Black tees. As the course is only a Par 70, the Starter convinced us to play the Green tees, which are only 5,779 yards. Other than two long par threes, the Black tees would be my preference, if/when I play the course again.
I am not a fan of a par three finishing hole, especially an island green!
The course seems crammed into a smaller block of land than I would normally expect, resulting in fairways close together. In one case, people playing their approach shot on the 11th hole must wait until those on the green drive back across the 11th fairway to get to the 12th tee. A poor course design in this regards.
Greens were, for the most part in good shape, but some had clumps of a completely different type of grass. Surprising for a course attached to a Marriot Hotel. Fairways and bunkers all in good shape.
A number of reviewers commented on the noise level due to the proximity to a major expressway and a major road, helicopters flying over the course plus noise from the Hotel pool and shuffleboard area. I can honestly say that while I definitely noticed this, I did not find it a significant distraction. I will agree that I would prefer more of a sense of isolation when on the course.
Great layout
I’ve played here many times and fortunately have reached the age where I can play the senior tees. Even so, it’s a tough layout but I love the challenging holes as well as all of the others. Love the finishing par 3 hole since the remake.
Was 3rd group out. No starter. First group had 12 players. Don’t have tee times available, if you are going to allow 3 groups in first group.
Christmas play
Nice course. Friendly staff. Course tough but fun to play. Well maintained greens, fairways and tees.
Christmas golf
Great course. Great staff. Well maintained and groomed course. Played with a guy that lives 45 minutes from me in Michigan. This is a great place to have a great round. Free range balls, nice putting greens. Only thing is that the greens were lighting fast but Well maintained. Enjoy your day here
Good value, great shape
The course was in great shape. The greens were perfect. The course layout was good, although the last hole was disappointing.
Best round
Whenever I visit Orlando this is always on my list to play. Grab ya clubs let it rip Hawks landing is always worth the trip.
Do something with that 18th hole.
Course is in great shape, fun to play. Unless you are a great golfer, the 18th sucks for the average golfer and would not play this course again because of it. Not a closing hole for such a nice course.
