PGA National Resort & Spa
About PGA National Resort & Spa
Golf fans know PGA National particularly for the Champion Course, the extremely challenging host of the PGA Tour's Honda Classic. But PGA National has far more to offer, too: four other, tamer golf courses plus an ever-improving lodging and dining complement, including the excellent Ironwood Steakhouse just off the resort's main lobby.Facts

Clever green contouring can go a long way toward amping up the intrigue of an individual hole. That's the case with the false front at The Palmer's 4th. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 12/29/2017

The uneven edging of this bunker at The Palmer's 8th is intentional and gives it a naturalistic look. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 12/29/2017

Well manicured course, challenging layout
Fairways well maintained and greens held very nice. Pace was quick until I caught up to a few groups and slowed dramatically, but I was a single so that’s to be expected - 3 wood off the tee (225-250) the entire day is all you need for this short course. Lots of water to contend with so bring your A game. Practice range was also very well maintained and golf shop prices reasonable for PGA shirts and hats. It just isn’t the PGA National that some might think it is, but for $45, you really will have a hard time beating this value.
Fairly typical Florida resort/residential golf
The Fazio is a solid if unspectacular resort option for PGA National guests. Part of the four-course main complex, it proceeds in two loops from the main non-Champion practice facility. Corridors are fairly narrow, meaning you'll often be better off hitting less than driver off the tee.
If you can keep it in play, you should enjoy the medium-sized, medium-contoured greens, which tend to be well-bunkered. Water comes into play several times as well. It won't change your life, but it's a nice enough spot for a round if you're staying at the resort.
Interesting Layout
This course is more interesting than the Champions Course, with doglegs and water in strategic locations. It was in excellent condition considering a heavy rain the night before that resulted in cart path only requirements.
Experience the Honda Classic Golf Course
PGA National is a huge resort with 5 courses. Today we played the Champions Course where the play the Honda Classic..it was a nice Course, but not too visually appealing. The course was in good shape and it was fun to play where the pros play.
Well-maintained course
Course was in perfect condition tee boxes to Fairways to Greens. Was nobody on the course but that may had to do with the Masters. Finish the round in 3 hours
Nice condition, Nice lay out.
Course was in great shape as always. Well taken care of and a great lay out and test of Golf.
Fabulous
If your a person that enjoys playing this place should be next on the list. All around true golf course. Fabulous!
Note Where It Is
It is owned by the PGA National but it is not where the rest of the courses are. GOLF NOW needs to be clear while booking. I went to the PGA National and they said this course was 20 minutes away.
Nice course !
Course was in excellent shape, staff was very friendly and helpful. Under a 4 hour round which now days seems hard to do. Gps carts were a plus and weather was great. All in all a great round and would recommend it if your in the area.!
Make sure you play this fun course.
This is the only PGA National course that is occasionally open to the public. So when golfnow is able to get some tee times for the public take one. This is a fun course to play that is in excellent condition with beautiful greens.
Was not as expected
Excellent course layout, but conditions level was not what we expected on a PGA National course!!!
Greens and part ot fairways inadmissible, sorry!
Well worth the money!
Extremely well manicured course, does require well placed tee shots- numerous water hazards and carries. Greens rolled fast and true. Course staff went over and above, very friendly, and knowledgeable - A+. Clubhouse should be upgraded to reflect the prestige of this course.
I enjoyed playing there, my only issue was the grounds crew that were doing there job's should know that when a person is teeing off on a hole they should not be weed eating the edge of the bunker up around the green while players are shooting at ALL especially on a Par 3.
