Rosen Shingle Creek

We enjoyed our visit to Shingle Creek. Our group was on a golf trip and this was one of our stops. Very nice layout and well maintained. The greens were in excellent shape and rolled nicely.

Greens and tee boxes in rough shape. 4:45 hr round. Cool layout but would not return for $90

Nice wide fairways...although the group ahead of us probably didn't think so as they were always off looking for balls. Anyway, we had no issues keeping it in play. Rough is Florida rough...ball sits down and sometimes can be tough to find. Nothing unusual here. Pace was a little slow for us due to the group ahead but was not out of line...think it was about 4:30. Marshall wanted us to go faster but there was nowhere to go with a long-ball hitter in our group and the sluggish group ahead of us. Overall, was a good day and we would play here again. Course condition was good, and greens rolled well. Staff was friendly. No complaints. Some bunkers under repair due to the recent hurricane/floods, but we managed to avoid them.

The greens were plugged and very bumpy with no notice to us from course. After 6 holes lightning and thunder closed the course. Went into the pro shop for our raincheck and was told to go see Golf Now. We are now out $121. They look at Golf Now players as a nuisance and treat you like one. Bad experience .

The course was in great condition. We loved the layout. We’ve played Harbour Town and felt Shingle Creek was nicer and it was cheaper. Can’t wait to play it again!

I thought it was excellent course great design and in great shape. The greens had a lot of undulation but I didn’t think it was too quick, just about right. The staff was great, I rented clubs and shoes, both were good quality. Very friendly and accommodating. Overall a great course.

Shingle Creek is a good course with good conditions. Lacking a little bit in pizazz. But I recommend playing it. Pretty open off the tee. Troubles come if you go left, right or long of the green.

Have played this course many times before and enjoyed it. Starter and Marshall’s were very friendly. Pro shop staff were not so friendly especially a lady that was working there that day. She wanted to charge us again when we had already paid on line. I know it was a Saturday and busy, so we expected a slow round, but after 11 holes it had taken us 4 hours 20 minutes. We were a two ball!!! We told the Marshall and he said he had already asked a group to speed up and got abuse. So was nothing he could do. We lost the Will to live and decided to end the round there. We told the lady in the pro shop and she was not in the slightest bit interested and said nothing!!! The course itself is nice, but the overall experience has definitely put us off returning. I would strongly recommend not playing here on a Saturday unless you like a 6 hour plus round!!!!
