Shingle Creek Golf Club

I cannot say enough about this fabulous course! It has it all - great tee box selections, excellent fairways and greens, and offers a great challenge. You will need every club on the bag.

The practice areas are pro style and excellent.

I highly recommend Shingle Creek Orlando- you will not be disappointed.

Played this course many times. Fun layout. The pace of play was horrible. Several Marshalls driving around clubhouse but none on course. Play was painful. Group in front was almost 2 holes behind for entire round. Last time we play there. It’s become a muni and it’s a shame.

This course is beautiful, well taken care of, and has FANTASTIC greens and friendly staff. Truly an experience.

first the bad - the marshal needs to do their job. There was a 4-some two grups in front of us that was over 1 hole behind. I saw the marhal head toward thenm, but they turned off and didnt talk to the 4-some. We finished about 12 minutes behind the pace specified, which is about 4 and 1/2 hours (way too long) - so a 4 hour and 45 minute round.

Part of the hold up was they have a single stall restroom on the front nine, which you share with the putting green and driving range. The ladies dircetly in front of us (not the slow group) had to wait for about 5 minutes to use the restroom between 7 and 8. In the end that didn't cost us time as they quickly caught up to the group in front of them tha was so slow. They really need to rethink that restroom situation.

Second - valet parking. CMON Man. I dont need valet parking at the golf course

Finally, the course is excellent. Very fun and good conditions. Kind of quirky greens with significant slopes and small landing areas. Any put over about 15 feet will have some signifiant slope to contend with. One a couple of greens there was no way to putt the ball and have it end up near the hole without putting it off the green. Having said that the greens rolled well and were quite fast.

Shingle is...the best. Everything from tee to green is in perfect confition. Greens were 10+, very smooth but could be even faster. Among my top 10 in south east FL.

Shingle Creek is an amazing course. The layout is beautiful and the course was in great shape. Unfortunately, pace of play was very slow, likely due to vacationers on the course. Still a fantastic course, but plan for a longer round.

Great course. Greens fast. Pace of play play sucked. Food in the grill was excellent as always.

And great staff, too. My 2:20 tee time was following an outing, and there were a few foursomes in front of me. Knowing I had played the course before, the starter was kind enough to allow me to start on eight so I could finish before sundown.

The course is a great layout, and always in great condition.

My only issue on this day was the way the players in the outing treated the course. I spent quite a bit of time picking up trash and fixing ball marks. One was less than a foot from the hole. How do you ignore that?

I will definitely play this course again when in the area.

This course is simply a great track.

The staff is great.

A bit pricey but worth it, and look for discounts.

My round was only marred by course conditions due to an outing they hosted.

The course was in great shape. Grains were rolling great. Only slight downside was it was cartpath only on the back which did slow it up a bit, but that is to be expected at a resort course.

My wife (WHS 20.5) and I (WHS 19.5) played Shingle Creek for the first time today. Reviews I had found online were somewhat mixed. I am so glad I didn’t not listen to the negative comments. We thoroughly enjoyed our round despite me putting four balls in the water. Has medium handicappers the wet conditions (cart path only) meant we didn’t get any roll which made the course a little longer for us. The greens were challenging with slope,and borrows. Having said that the greens were firm and true. Pace of the greens were slightly faster than our home course in the UK. Would we play the course again - without a shadow of a doubt, yes we would. All the staff were friendly and the drinks cart was seen on multiple occasions which was most welcome on a hot day.
