Shingle Creek Golf Club

My group arrived to find that our tee time had been changed. That was the ONLY annoyance to a very enjoyable day. The staff handling the golf bags was great - friendly, attentive. The starter was friendly...and hilarious. I wish I could remember his name.

The course was in great shape with the exception of the greens. They needed another 2 weeks to heal from aeration 3 weeks ago. They were still very playable though. Looking forward to the possibility that you may use Dryject to aerate in the future.

We had a great time, but hate the process of fiddling with tee times unless you can notify us on the day prior!

Not for a beginner there is water on almost every try hole and the course is very long so be prepared on a hot day. We knew the greens were punched that’s why it was discounted and valet and staff were on point. Probably wouldn’t play this one again, more of a one and done.

My favorite course in the Orlando/Tampa area. Conditions are great, staff is super friendly, onsite accommodations were outrageous! 10/10 I will be back. The value for the round felt like a robbery.

Shingle Creek Golf Club is great. Helpful and friendly staff efficiently assist your check-in and take care of delivering your clubs (on cart). The range and putting greens are top notch to get you warmed up. The course is long, fair and challenging. The greens receive and hold your ball. Second time playing Shingle Creek and will be back again!

Gave this track another chance after we played it a few months ago when the greens were punched.

Guess what? Greens were punched again. No mention of it when booking the tee time and the reviews said the greens were basically fully healed last week.

Would never pay full price here. No breaks for locals.

Overall condition isn't great. Plenty of other CFL tracks that are a better option.

Course layout is good. Pace of play was poor. Stuck behind a 6 ball and Shingle happy to take your money but not manage pace of play. The greens were aerated and heavily sanded and no notification this was the case, which spoiled the overall experience when balls are not running true on the greens. Shame as a good layout and interesting course.

I booked a hot deal tee time here that was pretty cheap. Unfortunately had to play the back nine twice because the front was just punched (didn’t know this going in). However, the course was in great shape, and it was a challenging little layout. Definitely want to come back to experience the full 18!

Played on an aeration rate. The greens had been punched a few weeks back and were mostly recovered. Otherwise, the course was in immaculate shape. It’s a resort layout, so although there are generous fairways and landing areas, there are several demanding tee shots. We played from the blue tees at ~6200 yards, and even at that yardage there were many tee shots requiring 150 or more yards of carry to reach the fairway. Greens were large and had lots of undulation, so approach shot accuracy comes in to play. Lots of shaved collection areas, and chipping off the dwarf Bermuda takes a little getting used to, so make sure to spend time in the chipping practice area. Overall it was a great experience and we will play it again.

This track is always one of my favorites. The course was in pretty good shape overall. There are some points where they are in progress of repair but not really impeding play. The greens were fast enough even they are still coming back from being punched.
