Rosen Shingle Creek

This course was on my reservations list and I cancelled to play somewhere else. For some reason this course decided to have GolfNow charge me $270 for not even playing. Be careful and check everything thoroughly while dealing with this course. They are rip offs and don’t give a crap.

The course was in great conditions and the course had some pretty fun shapes to play. Especially the green play. Challenging bunkers guarded most greens and pin position really made you think of approach risk vs reward.

Course overall is in great shape. Greens still need a little more recuperation from aerification but they are still rolling good.

I truly enjoyed the dy here. Course was in good shape, greens we good could still see signs from aeration but rolled fairly true. Had dinner at the Club House Grill after our round and would highly recommend you do the same. Staff was truly welcoming and helpful from start to finish. I will be back. Thank you Shingle Creek for a wonderful day.

Possibly one of the top 5 in Orlando area. Loved it

Was struggling to find a last minute tee time amongst all the options in the greater Orlando area. Was thrilled that we landed on Shingle Creek as I was pleasantly surprised how incredible the experience was. The only knock was they didn't mention the greens had been recently aerated (2.5 weeks before playing) but they still rolled decently well. Would love to play it when the greens are pristine. Otherwise, great bang for your buck and just expect a 4.5-5 round as it's definitely a resort course.

Excellent course overall. Staff was super friendly and helpful as could be. The only disappointment was the weather…it rained and had lightening of course which was uncontrollable. Would play again and recommend. Course was green and in great shape.

I skipped out on a conference one day during the week and played the nearest course which was Shingle Creek. I found the course to be in good shape and fun to play. There are a variety of teeing options and I played up so my age (68) and handicap (20) allowed me to compete with the course. I grabbed a discounted tee time from Golf Now and rented clubs. All that plus drinks on the course and I was under $150. On the negative side the greens had been aerated about 3 weeks prior and they were still not back to perfect. Putts would sometimes bounce or be re-directed by the uneven surface. I also found the greens to have severe ridges and mounds that I thought were unfair. All in all, it was a good round and I would do it again for the price.

Booked a twilight round, Pro Shop attendant Anthony stated the 1st tee should be open and the course fairly clear. Not truthful, pulled up to 1st tee and 4some is teeing off at our tee time. Ending up starting on the back 9. Greens still have not recovered from aeration as we found out. On hole 16 rain comes through and passes within 15 minutes. Attempted to continue the round but Anthony drives out and states the course is closed and we are unable to finish. Asked for a raincheck but was brushed off as we booked a twilight time.

Poor customer service to not offer at least 50% credit to come back another day, when we attempted to continue.

Hoping he enjoyed getting home early Friday night at the expense of a customer.

TLDR - Price paid not worth green conditions and poor customer service received unfortunately. Course closed early (7:00) no credit given only finished 7 holes.

Fun course with tees to challenge all players. Greens are the toughest part of the course with all of them having multiple tiers or mounds. The snack shack being between 7 and 8 really slows down play, though. Should have phone ahead service only.

Shingle is always an enjoyable day. Not sure about other posts stating they were not notified of the aerated greens. I knew, but took the discount and enjoyed the day. While the course is rebounding you may want to do the same. I would say give the greens till the 12th or later if you are expecting excellent putting conditions. But you will pay full price at that point.
