Walked

Best option in PCB

I walked the course with a local 3-some. According to them, and my research, this is the best option in PCB. From arrival, the clubhouse was pretty nice, the staff was 10/10 and had great rapport with the locals. Very easy to find the first tee, putting green and range. For the cost and the location, the course was in good condition. Bunkers were all fantastic. Greens were relatively fast. Quite a few holes had fun views and only a couple were unexciting. Can't beat it.

Rainy days and Mondays

Even though it was rainy, the course played well. The greens rolled true and the traps were wet sand on top but white fluff under. The entire course drains very well! I will definitely play it again next time I'm in Panama City!

Love this course

Best course in Panama City Beach, and they know it. This is also the most expensive course in PCB. Great place to have and play in tournaments.

So-so

Played the course on back to back days. Most of the course conditions were good except some greens had some weed/grass that weren’t a good look and had some impact on putts. Other greens were good but all of them were on the slower side. Easier to stomach the cheaper afternoon green fees than the prime time price.

Not worth the money.

Paid over $100.00 for a round with cart. Early in the season the fairways were not in the best of shape. The green were long and were not cut recently. Staff was very good and customer oriented.

Needs attention

We love Baypoint but it really needs attention. The fairways are like concrete, they were aerated 2 months ago but are now just dead and scarred. It's impossible to chip as there's just no grass.

BayPoint is slipping

Nice track, terrible condition, no grass in the fairway…and it’s been that way for the entire month of March. It would also be nice if they joined the 21st century and put GPS in their carts. We played behind a 6-some…how is that even allowed? We got off the course at 5 pm and the clubhouse, pro shop, bathrooms were all closed.

Very disappointing. Come on BayPoint, you can do better than this for these high green fees. Don’t let yourself turn into Signal Hill!

Lot of money for the condition

The course layout is great and the greens were pretty good but the rest of the course didn't have any grass on it. The fairways and t boxes were almost dirt. I don't know if it's the time of year or what but i wouldn't recommend this course to anyone right now. Especially not for 95 bucks. Terrible F!

WEIRD

Golf etiquette is not being adhered to! The group behind us jumped us a hole and then we were waiting. Also 2 golfers parked on the street on the back nine, jumped on the hole behind us. We finally called the golf shop and someone came out and took care of the street jumpers. They didn't offer us any compensation for our inconvenience and the round was not cheap!

I don’t feel that fivesomes should be allowed to play on a coarse of this caliber. We were behind one for eleven holes.

Worst experience ever

First off, I liked the challenge of this course. The bag drop guys, man working the pro shop, and the starter, were super nice people. However, this was the absolute worst golfing experience I've ever had in my life, and I've been playing golf for 38 years. I paid 85 dollars each for my son and I. The tee boxes are average at best. The fairways were average, and the greens about the same. The worst part about this day wad we had to wait on and follow tractors working on the fairway for 5 - 10 mins before being allowed to tee off. We had to follow them for at least 3 or 4 holes, waiting every hole on them to get done, so we could tee off. After running into the tractors again on the back 9, and holding us up again for a few holes, the Marshall comes up and has the nerve to tell us the pick it up, we were playing to slow. We caught a group of 4 and waited every hoke on the last 4 or 5 holes of the back 9. I nearly got hit with golf balls, twice, with neither person hollering four. There were random golf carts driving around and through you on the course, and it's noise everywhere. If I were offered a free round of golf for my troubles, I'd throw it in the garbage, so I nor someone else had to go through what I did again. It wouldn't have been ad bad, if the director had dropped prices in at least half, knowing that such aggravating circumstances were going to be present on this day with the tractors working, but nope, it was full price. I seriously hope no one has to go through what I did, especially after paying full price, but they'll never get my money again.
