Biggest “wild” gator I’ve ever seen. Yes that’s my buddy’s ball close to his head and no he didn’t go get it! Photo submitted by volsfan32119 on 01/12/2025

Slow play at its finest
Looking for a way to ruin a perfectly good day. Head out to the newly renovated Great outdoors. Did not see a marshall until the back nine. Took 3 hours to play. The back nine! Watched the group ahead hit multiple tee shots and spend an eternity looking for their balls. Since carts were required back at the barn by 5:30 was only able to finish 13 holes.
Course in great shape. Way overpriced and not ran as well as before the redo
Course in great shape from the reconditioning. Good job Seems like when the old GM ran things, it was better. Apparently, there's been a HOA vote and new person running things and it's way worse and micromanaging for the worse. Way overpriced as well. Hopefully they will correct this and get the old GM back in place. Also, pace of play is terrible, might be connected. Just saying. Thanks
Great shape
The course was in great shape. A nice layout. It was slow. The marshals were out trying to speed things up. I would recommend playing this to all my friends.
Much Better
It's still the TGO with wide fairways and very little elevation change, but the course is much improved from 3 years ago! Good tee boxes and greens and the fairways are typical Florida. One bad experience was the starter - who was officious and unfriendly who actually chased down our playing partners because the left before he said they could (despite it being four minutes past our tee time)!
Phenomenal!!
Changes made to the course in2024 have made this a championship course. New Tif greens are larger, more undulating and guarded. Fairways excellent. Rough is long, not hard to hit out of but difficult to find your ball, which is slowing play
Amazing greens
I heard from the locals I was playing with that they remodeled the course recently. The investment showed - greens were fast and new sod all around them.
Upgraded course is getting better, slow play.
The course has been under renovations for a while, looks good. They have 2 holes as path only, not sure why, maybe after they mature. Greens are bigger and multilevel, challenging putts. T-boxes are much improved, bunkers have been redone, real sand, modified some and removed others. Overall nice work, good to see the improvements, please keep it up.
Pace of play, not very good. There was a ranger/cart going around, not sure he did anything to improve things. I was stuck behind a foursome as a single after the other players dropped out at 9th. I was very visible waiting, they took their time on every shot, saw me waiting, but never waived me through. I will play again, hopefully with better mannered golfers.
