Love this Place!

My son and I have played this twice. We love this place!! Great track….fantastic people working there. Wonderful clubhouse and pro shop. It’s among our personal TOP 3 courses to play anywhere. Challenging….but so much fun! We will come back every chance we can get! Do yourself a favor and play it!

Great Course

We really enjoyed playing this course. The course was in real good condition from tee to green. You could tell the greens had been punched a couple weeks ago but was growing in nicely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good. Finished in about 4 hours. Definitely will play this course again.

Terrific track

Beautiful course, friendly staff members, nice range and putting green, short game area closed as being rebuilt, pace of play was slowest by far of all 4 courses we played, at 4 1/2+ hours, and was open holes in front of group ahead of us, just would not waive us through and no ranger did either.

Aeration

Fee was lower due to aeration and should have been even lower. Putting was nearly a waste of time and represents half of the strokes.

They were good about saying that the greens were aerated though!

Golf At Regatta Bay

Course was in great shape and greens will be excellent in couple of weeks, after recovering from punching. Pace of play was reasonable and staff accommodated singles well. Always a favorite Destin course.

One of the best in Destin

Regatta Bay is under rated. They have made great strides in improving course conditions. They staff is excellent and makes the experience like an exclusive private Country Club. The greens were slow from aeration but were healing nicely and still lots of fun.

Consider playing to gold tees instead of the white tees unless you are 8 handicap or better.

In fairness, the course was getting ready for the summer craze by doing a lot of construction, but there's a 4-5 hole stretch where some of the tree and construction projects really change your experience. The greens were aerated about a week ago but they rolled fine. I shot an 82 from the tees up from the tips and the course played somewhat challenging.

I've reviewed a couple of these courses now just to give some honest feedback for the golfer who is a mid handicap but look for GREAT experiences at really good golf courses. 2 years ago, Kelly Plantation, Regatta Bay, and Indian Bayou were the premier in the area unless you were incredibly rich and had access to private courses. Times hav exchanged in a big way. these courses have almost doubled in price and honestly from my estimation, gone down in quality considerably.

Multiple fairways had extensive dead spots, the tee boxes weren't in great shape and around the greens were average at best. This is an honest opinion. Play these courses ONLY IF YOU GET A DEAL. Otherwise, seriously, play Windswept Dunes or Rocky Bayou. For your money, they will be what you come to 30A for. Not as high quality, but a great value mention are the Baytowne Course. The Links, The Raven,
