The Villas at Southern Hills

Booked through GolfNow and was well worth the price. I would return when in the area -- I loved it.

Course is fair, but challenging. The scenery beautiful, not alot of houses. Course is in terrific shape. Greens are outstanding -- but VERY tough and tricky. Very subtle breaks. They were consistent though, and everything about the course was first class. It was a very windy day, so that caused the course to play very difficult.

The Bloody Marys were excellent, and the wait staff was fantastic. The people checking us in were a little too caught up in a bunch of caddies from other courses and were not as receptive or as pleasant as I had expected. We felt like we were a bother and in the way of their discussions on rounds, and players they caddied for recently. Course let them go out as a fivesome in front of us, but they kept up pretty well and didn't cause many delays.

If you are in the Tampa area, this is a "must play" and worth the drive.great layout, impeccable conditions, very friendly and helpful staff. Had one of my most memorable rounds in a long time. 5 stars, highly recommend

Every bit of this course from tee to green was in excellent shape. Course was very memorable and challenging with plenty of elevation changes. It was worth the drive, I will definitely be back.

Sure, you want to play Copperhead at Innisbrook. Save your money and head to Brooksville. I guarantee that at least twice you will find yourself thinking, " this might be the prettiest course I've ever played".

Worth the trip from tampa.Course design was awesome,elevation changes all day.Greens rolled faster than average & were in great shape for late January.Played the twilight rate, best value in central Fl.It wont disappoint.Staff could be friendlier.

I am a golf addicted snowbird and every trip to Florida this course is on the must play list. Conditions and weather were perfect. The course is a challenge and is fun to play. It in my opinion is not a course for beginners but is better suited for the intermediate golfer on up.

I have been coming to the Tampa area for 5 years and Southern Hills Plantation is always a part of our golf trip line up! Course is in great condition and the pace of play is fantastic! Cant go wrong with this track.

So hilly never fails to impress with its conditions, design, and vistas. Was a little slow but still enjoyable. Super busy had to wait for a cart. As a former member it was nice to get back on that beast and bring her to her knees...

Playing this course was recommended by others that I golf with early in the week. I'm glad that I took their recommendation. Superb condition, nice layout, friendly staff. I'll be back to play it again.

One of the best Golf Courses around the Tampa Bay area if not the best. Great challenge with enough tees and length to your ability. Choose wisely. It can be longer then it seems. Try to remember where you enter the property off of Route 41. This is the direction that most putts seem to want to go. Beautiful golf course and scenery. Great staff and well worth the visit.

Superb course with rolling fairways. Not a course for beginners. First class operation. This course does not disappoint. Come and see for your self.

Pete did an amazing job of creating a course that keeps you on your toes and demands critical placement of shot. Scaring you with false fronts and hidden fairway views Pushing you to really think. But the surroundings put you at ease making for a very enjoyable round. Superb ,would recommend it to all players ...

This is a beautiful and memorable golf course. The layout was challenging but fair. The course was in terrific condition considering it was the middle of December. This was my first time playing the course so I was at a bit of a disadvantage regarding some of the blind second shots...however, I still loved playing the course!!!

It's a Pete Dye Signature Course but the only Pete Dye typical features I recognized were the numerous moguls and the occasional tiny pot bunker. I didn't see any of the typical Pete Dye holes I've seen before, for example #18 at TPC Sawgrass (similar to #18 at ASU Karsten). It's VERY hilly for Florida, with several blind tee shots and due to the hilliness I could swear I saw three or four putts break uphill. The course was in good shape overall, but some fairways had a few bare spots and it appeared they were re-growing the grass on some of the tees. That said, it was an enjoyable round overall.

I was paired up with a father and son who were nice enough folks but played very slowly - I didn't think we'd finish 18 by dark after starting at 1:00 pm - so I left them and went ahead as a single after #4. Three groups ahead invited me to play through so I was able to finish in 3-1/2 hours.

You will not be disappointed. A challenging and fun layout. You just gotta play it.

This is a must play for everyone. Very fair, but still a great challenge. All facilities are top notch.

This is a great golf course and facility... but lets keep that between you and I. If the word were to get out, tee times will be difficult to come by.

First time I played this course and absolutely gorgeous. I booked on golf now and was confused at check in as to whether there was tax to be added or not. The staff was very patient with my confusion.

Southern Hills provides a lovely landscape of a golf course. Wide, undulating fairways in perfect condition. Only a few homes throughout the course. Not much water, but enough bunkers to alter your shots. Gorgeous trees, good clubhouse (take you cap of in the restaurant). Very challenging, and a must-play.
