Excellent course

Excellent course that is very very well kept. The clubhouse is extravagant and the pro shop is nice and has good merch. The course itself is nicely laid out and is challenging with bunker placement. The grass is probably the nicest I’ve set foot on. The staff were all really kind as well and don’t make you feel out of place when visiting such a high end establishment. The only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars is affordability. It costed $127.67 CAD for only 9 holes. I’ve played at courses in Canada with similar prestige that only costed around $110 for 18 holes. So, if you can afford to come here definitely do so. But if cost is a factor, you may want to save up ahead of time.

Front 9 great shape, somewhat disappointed with some fairways on back 9. A few holes cart path only creating longer to play holes. Overall good experience for first time and would recommend.

Challenging course in great shape

Course was in great shape and had a nice range and chipping/putting practice area. The course layout at the end of the back nine is a little confusing since there is a par 3 under construction and the card shows a par 4 #17 when it is really a par 5. Other than that the fairways were nice and fairly wide, and the greens were in great shape. Water does come into play on many holes.

Great 1st impression

It was my first time playing the course the back 9 was being aerated so I was able to play the front 9 twice. The course was nice and open and played well, I had no problem keeping my ball on the fairways. The greens were nice and smooth and played well. I’m far from a good golfer so the pace of play was great with the back 9 out of service they were not as busy and I was able to enjoy my round without feeling rushed and really get in a solid round of golf as I tried to improve my game. I was very impressed with the staff their friendliness and the way they have everything set up for you when you arrive. I would love to play this course again next time I’m visiting the Orlando area.

Very nice

Thoroughly enjoyed the round. Great conditions on the course. GOLF NOW had not provided an aeration warning, but the course called me a day or two ahead to inform me that the back nine was closed for maintenance. I was offered two times around the front nine and took it. All aspects of the visit were great. Chipping and putting area, free range balls, comfortable carts with GPS.

Greens were wonderful.

Overpricee

This course was actually in good shape. Staff was friendly. Only negative is online they had a tee time for 8:40 ($85 for 18 holes)

My buddy and I booked the tee time for that price through golf now. When we got to the course the back nine was closed and the $85 was only supposed to be for the front 9. The guy at the desk told us that there was miscommunication with golf now and it wasn’t supposed to show $85 for 18 holes. It was supposed to be $85 for 9 holes. Who the heck wants to pay $$85 for the narrowest course in Florida. If we knew that’s what it was going to be we could’ve saved ourselves a hour drive and played somewhere else.

To make a long story short don’t go to this course. Complete waste of money. This course normally costs $190 . With everything it comes with this course is nowhere near $190 course. There are plenty of cheaper courses that are 10x better than this

Fun course

This course was fun to play. It had fairly open fairways and challenging greens. Their was no wait and we finished around 3 hours. I would definitely recommend this course when visiting Orlando.

Nice Course, But Don’t Expect Good Service

The course itself is super nice and well maintained, but for $200/round, I expect the off course amenities and service to be much better.

From the moment I arrived the service was sub-par. The valet was backed up and inattentive, requiring me to walk my own bag up to the front door so I could check in timely. And once the valet acknowledged me, it was like pulling teeth finding out where to go. And during check-in, the front desk attendant was less than helpful regarding a pre-payment issue.

The driving range was grass, so that was nice, but they don’t provide any tees, so you have to hike back to your golf cart if you did not bring your own. All high end golf courses I’ve played at provide tees at the driving range.

The on course employees (ranger, beverage cart) were friendly and helpful, but after the round the cart barn employees started cleaning my partners clubs and once I tipped him, they literally stopped and unloaded the bags without cleaning my clubs.

I don’t care that it’s a Waldorf Astoria course, with so many other nice golf courses nearby, I would rather spend half the money and get poor service than pay a premium to get poor service.

Beautiful Course!

We played this course in 3 hours. Never had to wait, the course was very well manicured. The fairways were forgiving. And the greens ran true. The greens were average speed. Lots of fairway bunkers. I’m a 15 handicap so the course was challenging when I didn’t hit the fairway and greens. A single digit handicap may find this course less challenging.

Great course.

Course is in great shape. Fairways are wide with water or well places traps. Greens are elevated and new. They roll fast and true, however very firm for approach shots.

Great course & Staff

Very courteous & attentive staff. Practice area very nice. Pace of play was only ok for the front as there a=was a 4-some of newbies but we passed then at the turn. Ranger kept on them though. Well stocked pro shop and nice shower area. Definitely worth the super saver price but I probably wouldn't pay the "daily rate"

Great condition and and staff

Snuck in a last minute round with a co worker and we played as a twosome and caught up to some other twosomes so had a wait a little but overall pace was under 4 hours which is good for resort courses. Was impressed with course conditions and greens. Some fairways were a little wet but heathy. Not much rollout so play the correct tees. Greens are in solid condition however plays a little slow around 8-9 when I played. Loved the course. Will play again when back in town. Got to see lots of wildlife gators and tortoises. Good was decent and they deliver out to your cart so no need to stop at the turn.

Great but slow

Course layout and bunkering is very good. Greens were firm but only running around 9.5 or 10 on the stump which was a bit slow. Some great holes and with new ones being built the course will only get better! I hope to be back soon. I only down grade the pace of play as a fourball a couple of groups ahead were very slow

Worth the splurge!

The Waldorf is is definitely worth the splurge. The course was in fantastic condition featuring firm and fast greens. The fairways were in fantastic shape and the staff was top notch.

Average

The course conditions were excellent. Nice wide fairways and the greens rolled well. The only complaint was the pace of play. The course was nearly wide open. Course let out a 3 some ahead of us and each had their own cart (we could tell they knew each other from their conversation on the first tee). There was no group ahead of them but they would not let us play through. No ranger in sight to regulate pace. Course is nice but it is way overpriced. There are a lot of other tracks in the area that offer a better value.

Worth the splurge!

While it is not cheap to play, it was well worth the splurge. The fairways are in amazing condition, and the greens are firm and fast.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and an absolute joy. I look forward to my next round at this great course.

Very nice

Very nice golf course. Played it for the first time. Booked a hot deal on this one and it was a treat. Course was in great condition from tee box to green. Fairways were so nice that i felt guilty walking away from a divot without repairing it. Greens didn’t roll as well like I expected. They would roll if you chip it onto the green but putting was a little friendly. My downhill putts were still slow. Views around the course were amazing. Lots of water views. Pace was very good. Staff was very friendly. No parking on site but has complimentary valet service. Would play again.

Play it!

I have played this course 5 or 6 times over the years. At 240 bucks it prices people out. A golf Now hot deal cut the price almost in half. Fantastic condition! The range and range balls were outstanding also. First rate!
