Waldorf Astoria Golf Club

In spite of being rain-soaked, I had a wonderful morning of golf! It was an awesome day even with "cart path only" conditions and I will be back in December when things are a little dryer and cooler! If you have the opportunity to play this course, go for it!

Staff was superb! Greens were a little slow due to all the rain fairways were super wet cart paths only a lot of walking on a soggy course was a little tough but enjoyed every minute of it! Would recommend wet or dry!

I put the ellipsis because I am surenthis course would be one of the best i have played if conditions were better. The course was absolutely unplayable. The fairways were actually worse to land in than the rough. Multiple times I would hit a perfect drive down the middle I would struggle to find it bc it plugged and was almost entirely submerged. I would walk to my ball and leave massive footprints across the fairway as i sank in the wet and mud. Tee boxes were punched so it was tough to get my tee the right height because it would just sink. But bunkers were amazing and even with punched and sanded greens they rolled absolutely true. Really the course should have been closed for how bad the fairways were bc if you think digging your ball out of the mud was bad trying hitting a second shot that doesnt just fling mud all over you. I hope some day I can come back when it isn't rainy to play but I kept thinking how is the course so soaked but greens and bunkers were perfect but still great course layout.

I was not informed in advance of cart path only. The larger issue was the uncut Muddy fairways. There was really no place to hit for a good approach. I was almost happy the lightning ended my round. I usually look forward to my semi-annual rounds at Waldorf but won't be returning in the near future.

We've played here many times and love the layout and the whole experience with the friendly staff. Course was actually in great condition considering the very wet weather we've had in Florida this week. Round was cart path only due to the wetness which I would normally hate but could understand why and actually on the this course its not so bad, unlike a few other courses in the area where the cart paths can often be way away from where the course! We like to play quite fast and had a slowish 3 ball in front but they let as through at the turn and we still managed a 3.5hr round which can be rare sadly in Florida. The tee's looked like they had recently been hollow tined but this didn't spoil the experience, greens ran true. Definitely recommend this course if you are in the area.

First, I’ll say the course was very wet and it was cartpath only like most of the courses in the area the last few days. Course conditions outside of the water are fantastic and the staff is very polite and organized.

From start to finish fantastic. Greens fantastic. Fairways are so plush. Great lunch afterwards in the clubhouse. My favorite course in Orlando. I would hire everyone we came in contact with to represent my business. Complementary bottled water on the course. Range balls included and they do not charge my wife to just ride along. They will also allow you to play alone.

The Waldorf was an incredible facility in the past. Not so much now! With the exception of the guy in the golf shop, the staff couldn't care less. You will have two choices...rude or complete indifference. No assistance with the golf carts or golf bags, and to top it off, the kiosk when you check in asks you to tip the cart guys...don't do it. They apparently figure they are going to get tipped out when you check in, so why do any work.

At these prices, you should expect better service. While the course layout is challenging, there was no notice that the greens were sandy and recovering from aeration. I would not have paid this much for sandy greens. Money may not be a consideration, but value for my money is! If you want a great resort, with great service, at a reasonable price, go to Shingle Creek instead.

Awesome golf course! Staff were amazing everywhere on the course. Towels, water bottles, range balls all complimentary adds a very nice touch before you even start the golf. Course greens were recently punched but still putted very true. Fairways and tee boxes were impeccable. My new top course to play in Orlando.

Always a great experience at Waldorf golf. Service is great - from valet, to shop, to course and food/beverage staff. The course is outstanding (challenging but fair). The conditions are great. They’ve done a nice job clearing out the surrounds to open up views across holes. Fabulous & highly recommended.

A beautiful day, enjoyed one lovely round in Orlando during a family holiday. The kindness of club staff was the best level, very very kind. Only thing slightly unhappy was slow players in front... but it took 4&1/2 hours for the whole round, not too bad but not good!

I want to start with the course is in amazing shape and the staff was top notch (minus the maintenance crew who had no regard for any golfer on the course). With that said, I think you either love or hate a Rees Jones design. In this case, it was a hate for me. There are multiple holes on the front where you choice is 220 off the tee and 170 in or take on the fairway bunkers and have a bunker shot in. I don’t mind the choice but I don’t want to make the same choice four times in the first 8 holes. There wasn’t much change on the back. You could carry 230 over water or hit a 200 yard shot and have 170 in. Just not much fun to me.

From complimentary valet parking to practice facilities and the course itself…excellence. This is a very challenging course with the well placed bunkers and elevated greens. Everything is in beautiful shape, and I thought it was a bargain at $95. Course tip; fly the greens at your own peril, it can be a nasty return shot.
