Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Great layout, wonderful people, pace of play was good. With all the rain lately, the course was in really good shape.

The course was very wet, so there was very little roll after the ball hit the fairway. Should have played up one more tee box to compensate. Greens , however were hard and fast. Love the course layout.

Staff was first rate, knowledgeable, and courteous. Course was in great condition. Pace of play was was consistent and non stressful. Had a really enjoyable & relaxing round on a beautifully manicured and challenging course. I highly recommend it.

Played here this morning. From the time I arrived I was treated like royalty. Driving range was in great shape. Everyone I’ve talked to has said Orlando has been pounded with rain. I played Orange County National Monday and Waldorf today. Waldorf-Astoria’s conditions right now are awesome. Better then Orange County. Played the back tees shot even par. Back side my driving got a little away from me and I shot 5 over for a total of 77. I’m a 6-7 handicap. Loved the course layout. Greens were consistent. Fairways in spots were a little wet. You won’t get much roll in fairways in spots. . Overall I can’t wait to come back and play here. After the round the guys meet you with ice cold towel and washed your clubs.

The reason I didn’t give the course better ratings was because it was very wet and cart path only. I know it’s not the courses fault it was so wet. We’ve had a lot of rain. But cart path golf is not fun for anyone. I would love to play it again when the conditions are better.

Got great deal through TeeOff. Offered because greens aerated. They had small holes and a lttle sand but played like regular greens. Except for being wet and a little muddy fairways in almost immaculate condition. Because of pandemic could not evaluate offcourse amenities. Too bad cause everything looked great. Will be back.

This was my second time golfing on any course and I was impressed by everything they offered. The cart was clean, there was a side cooler stocked with ice already, and the screen in the cart kept us on schedule. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The Waldorf course designed by Rees Jones has classic Jones features with visually intimidating approaches and large resort-style greens that can yield touch pin positions. Highly recommend this course over many Orlando resort courses!

Played while visiting a nearby resort. Course was awesome, greens had some sand on them but still you were able to make putts. Course was hard but not impossible and layout was fun.

Disappointed with the back 9 layout overall. Not worth $75. They are doing some work however it is going to be a very long time before they are finished with whatever they are doing with the greens smack dab in the middle of the 2 of the fairways on the back? They need to grass over half the bunkers. Maybe more. Greens were aerated last week with full punch holes. Give those 3 weeks if you are going to play here. Wipe the sand off your putter before you take it back. No. 17 and 18 should have been closed...course does not handle water very well at all. Course hasn’t been sloped since it opened in 2009. Will only play here with a Hot Deal. Will watch reviews closely to see if there is large improvement.

Overall, the course was in great shape. Greens recovering nicely and the fairways were great aside from a few wet ones, but that’s not their fault. Pace of play was absolutely unacceptable though. 10 minute wait on tee boxes. 5 hour round. Not something you expect at a course like the Waldorf. Staff is awesome though, so I’m sure I’ll give it another try.

The course looks great and overall is in good condition. The only reason It didn’t rank 5 stars are the air-rated greens. Putting was difficult with the sand and small holes on the green which made it difficult to get really true rolls.

The course in wet shocking condition. There is no drainage system. Also there is lack for communication between course staff. They did not inform about hole 17th cart path and maintenance person was showing attitude when we took cart on the fairway. We did not expect rude attitude from Hilton/Waldorf staff. We are local residents and played so many times there but seems like either management changed or they don’t care about local residents.
