Questionable value for it's high price
The course is very nice but not close to 3X nicer than other courses in the area- not even close.
The range was free but busy and no one was collection golf balls (supply nearly depleted). We expected a high end golf course to have GPS in the carts and they did not. There are houses on many of the fairways and more being built (but houses are well out of play) but still this is a distraction not a plus for expensive golf. I live in the area and have played most courses. The K&B course has many pretty holes but so do many other courses at 1/3 the price and many include GPS. It was in good condition, and loved they supplied apples on ice but the apples don't make-up the difference in price.
enjoyable
I really like this course. It is expensive, if you use golf now you may want to wait to the last minute. I booked in advance @ $109.00. The rate on golf now dropped to $79.00 a couple of days before my tee time. The greens were fast and true and the fairways were in great shape. the rough was not deep. there is enough water to make it interesting but not real difficult. I have a high handicap, however, I really enjoyed playing this course.
Great Capoff to my vacation
Knocked off another course off my bucket list. The proshop has lots of goodies to offer.
real disappointed
I've played here many times and was so disappointed. Greens had almost no grass, tee boxes ragged and uneven, fairways marginal. Staff was great but clearly something is wrong here. I played three other courses this week, all $50 less and all in betteshape .
What a Treat !!!
Played S & S on an overcast day with my wife. Many groups had cancelled ahead of us so we had the course pretty much to ourselves. Reserved thru GolfNow at rate of $79. Felt lucky to get such a good rate. Condition of course ( even though a little wet ) was fabulous from tee to green. Fast greens ( 3 putted 2 of first 4 holes ) but rolled true. Finally got the hang of them. Pro shop staff ( believe his name was Parker ) was very accommodating as we spent the $$ saved on the green fee.
Can't wait to head back next year to play the K & B.
Great Time for a Price.....
Played with 7 friends (2 groups) and had a great time. Staff went out of there way to accommodate our group and make our day a success. It is pricey and a bit hard to justify paying at least 2 times what most other courses in the area are charging, but the course condition was also the best of any around....
Fun course
The course was in good condition overall. The fairways were in great condition. The greens were good and rolled fast but had some areas of fungus. The condition of the greens are probably due to the wet and cold winter we've had here in NE FL. The traps were white fluffy sand and consistent throughout. Lots of holes to go for it with your driver off the tee. Enjoy!
Great layout with excellent conditions
Totally enjoyed playing the course with excellent
Playing conditions. Beautiful weather, great playing partner (wife) . Life is good!!!!
Great Course
Played this course with two friends who came down from Ohio. The course was in excellent shape and the staff was second to none. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to play a challenging course in pristine conditions.
the best greens
the greens were the best I've played. fairways in very good shape. a very enjoyable outing. somewhat overpriced.
beautiful course. bad service
I've played here several times and this was the worst experience yet. I am going to chalk this up as a random bad experience here. They were solid packed On a perfect Florida day. I waited one and half hours for a golf cart, 20 minutes for a bartender/server to arrive and serve, the cart girl skipped our group a couple times, and was told by a Marshall we were behind the pace and needed to hurry while we were waiting on the green to clear. Overall this trip was absolutely crazy, especially with a triple digit green fee....the course itself was perfect as always. The human interaction ruined it.
Superb
It doesn't really get much better than this. The course is excellent, staff are very nice, it really is a must play .
better value elsewhere
played both slammer and squire and king and bear. much perfer s and s for value, course condition and staff assistance. we had to wait for range balls therefor almost eliminating our warm up time.
Perfection
Nothing negative to say, best overall golf experience I've had. I played King and Bear last year and wasn't impressed like I was here. Absolutely worth whatever deal they have on golfnow.
Great course, not so great experience
Course had no record of our Tee Time. Booked us 30 minutes later behind a FIVEsome and finished the last two holes in the dark.
I would play this again but will confirm tee times via phone and that we don't follow a handful of guys playing for a quarter a skin.
Very well maintained
Surprised that the "World Golf Village", home of the " Golf Hall of Fame" no longer has GPS in carts. Course looked great, but did not enjoy cart path restrictions on this sunny day, made for a long 5+ hour round and forced poor club selections to the greens at various points. Best not to play this course if it has received any rain in the previous 48 hours.
wet but great
Only negative was 'cart path only' due to recent rains. Course was beautiful and greens were super. Slow due to 'cpo' but very enjoyable round. Paired up with three nice guys. love the practice facilities.
Got free round from Golf Now Rewards-couldn't be happier.
Good day
This is one of those cart path only days due to the rain from the pervious day. They made a good decision for cart path. It was wet out there and pace of play was 4:15. Everything was in good shape. Food was also good, but service could of been faster.
Great Design
Very good layout, nice use of the natural setting.
Great day
Great day, beautiful course. Could not have asked for more from the course. Ranger was a little unrealistic, but we all have a job to do!
