God is Present Here!
God thank you for blessing me with my 1st 18-hole round of golf at Stone Mountain Lakemont! I love the Game of Golf and all the golf pros and staff and golfers welcomed me and my girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely round of golf!
What's Up with the $100+ Green Fees for Stone Mountain?
I like playing Stone Mountain. The people that work here are nice. I like the two courses but they have raised the greens fees way beyond what they are worth. $100+ green fees for these courses is ridiculous. Two years I ago I was paying half that most of the time. They've increased their rates way beyond the rate of inflation. As far as complaints, they allow 5 and sometimes groups of 6 to go out. They don't have any rangers out on the course to control slow play. The speed of the greens can vary greatly from green to green. But for the most part the greens are extremely slow.
Enjoyable experience with outstanding scenery
If this course was closer to $60-$70 to play, it would be my go-to course on the NE side of Atlanta. The price is a little steep at $100 but for an annual golf this was a great course. They also have Stone Mountain park surrounding the course and places to camp if you want to make a full trip out of it. Beautiful waterfront to start then ends with some open wooded holes.
Play the Stonemont course instead
The greens were very bumpy. Combination of not being trimmed rectory and lots of ball mark divots that were not repaired. My understanding is the priority at Stone Mountain is to prioritize the maintenance of the Stonemont course. So I would recommend you prioritizing that course with your money.
Always fun
Played this course every Sunday with family growing up. Love playing every so often - brings back lots of memories!! Course is in pretty well maintained and in good condition for this time of year, staff is fabulous, and pace of play was exceptional for a Sunday morning! For first timers, gotta realize you’re gonna pay $20 bucks just to enter the park on top of green fees. Definitely worth playing if you haven’t yet played.
Sold me tee time when course closed
The course is closed, you sold me tee time and even worse, I cannot find a way to contact you or asking for a refund except for this review channel. Miserable
Great course, harder than Lakemont. Challenging but fun
Great time, very fun and challenging course. More challenging than the Lakemont course. Awesome rate of play no rush on the day we played.
Stonemont- the right challenge
Great staff to start. Prices are reasonable for food and drink
$100 plus park entrance makes it pricey to be a regular.
Tees fairways and greens in good shape. Greens rolled true.
The only problems come from players who don’t fix ball marks on the greens and don’t rake the traps.
I’ll be back.
Overpriced...otherwise a solid track.
I have played the Lakemont Course at Stone Mountain many times and it is a great track with great views and good layout...but $90-$100 is WAY overpriced for how the conditions were. Lots of patchy parts, hard/dirt areas and not great tee boxes. $100 in metro ATL is top tier public tracks. This needs to be in way better shape to be that price.
